Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray
have been to 3 different WM's since the mention of the $5 and $6 titles.
1 had only the $6 titles.
1 had the $5 titles, but not the $5 EB titles
1 had both the reg. $5 titles and the EB $5 titles.
Only bought Mad Max and Descent/The Eye for $6. I'm not a huge horror fan and these EB packs look like 2nd and 3rd tier titles.
Did see Silverado digibook for 12.96, but it was a little beat up.

Checked my local Wal-mart yesterday, they still don't have the $6 display, did have the EB $5 titles, although sadly they were mixed in with the $5 DVD bin, so I couldn't find what I was looking for (Crow double feature)

Are you saying you found MAD MAX for $6.00? And hasn't that SILVERADO Digibook been OOP for awhile now and going for big bucks on the secondary markets?

I did not know it was OOP. I went back last night and got the last one. I think there were 3 or 4 yesterday around 5PM. I've noticed Walmart stock varies by store more than I originally thought, so this may be a scavenger hunt.

Picked up Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and First Blood for $5 a pop at my local store, which were tossed in the bin with other now-standard Lionsgate fare (Winter's Bone, Bridget Jones's Diary, Replicant, The Arrival, and so on and so forth).

My Wal-Mart had the display out today.
I almost picked up the Crow City of Angels/Wicked Prayer double feature for $5, but wanted to read some online reviews first. I was surprised that there were quite a few special features listed on the back... there's a Brandon Lee interview on CoA (strange since he didn't appear in that movie) and WP looked like it contained most or all of the stuff from the old DVD.

I see it at the one near Reliant Stadium all the time. It's in their $5 blu-ray section along with titles like Young Guns, The Others, License to Drive, Good Luck Chuck and some other ones. It was still there last week. It's funny that they have the DVD on an endcap at a higher price.

It seems people are getting excited on SD that IP Man BD is $7.88 at Walmart.com: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ip-Man-Chi...creen/14335835
Free in-store pickup until it runs OOS soon. It's also the same price at Amazon (you have to click on the other buying choices). Since I don't have Prime nor any filler items handy, Amazon gets less of my business.

It's OK if you have 3D, and it's good to support low-priced 3D releases.

Thanks, I'll have to look for that. Amazon had it for that price 2 weeks ago, and it was even in my gold box for 14.24, but before I went to order it the price jumped up, so I passed... I saw the movie in 2D, and it was actually VERY enjoyable! We were laughing our a$$es off... Don't think of it as a horror movie. It's a comedy, with some gore...
