As a kid, he is naturally gifted and wins every 100-meter race without effort. But in sixth grade, he meets Komiya, a transfer student who is full of determination but lacks technique. In teaching him, Togashi gives Komiya a new purpose: to win no matter what. Years pass by, and Togashi and Komiya meet again as rivals on the track and reveal their true selves. Based on the beloved manga by Uoto, author of “Orb: On the Movements of the Earth”, which also received a recent anime adaptation, the heart-pounding and exhilarating adaptation of 100 Meters was first announced prior to its sold-out Work-in-Progress session at last year’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Currently in production at studio Rock’n Roll Mountain, Director Iwaisawa is joined by character designer and executive animation director Keisuke Kojima, and art director Keikankun Yamaguchi. The screenplay is written by Yasuyuki Muto (Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway, Tokyo Revengers), and the score is composed by Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Jujutsu Kaisen, Tokyo Revengers, Dr. Stone). In addition to GKIDS, the project is being produced by Pony Canyon, Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) and Asmik Ace. The project is helmed by director Kenji Iwaisawa, who quickly rose to prominence after his debut film, the deadpan music comedy ON-GAKU: OUR SOUND. An independent film in production for over seven years, ON-GAKU: OUR SOUND was composed of over 40,000 hand-drawn frames, using the Rotoscoping animation technique, and went on to receive multiple award nominations including Best Independent Animated Feature at the Annie Awards. ‘One-Punch Man’ Season 3 Rights Secured by Viz Media for Multiple Territories (EXCLUSIVE) Viz Media, a leading manga and anime platform, has acquired the rights to “One-Punch Man” Season 3, as the satirical superhero series prepares for its anticipated return. The deal encompasses theatrical, television, digital, home entertainment, ancillary and merchandise rights across North America, Latin America and Oceania. The Japanese broadcast of Season 3 is slated to premiere in October. Created by manga artist One and illustrated by Yusuke Murata, “One-Punch Man” follows Saitama, a hero who became so powerful through training that he can defeat any opponent with a single punch. Hello Backers! We’re here with another Dirty Pair Update! We have made some progress and wanted to keep you in the loop. The QC process has now been completed so we are onto the final stages before going to the replicator/printer. That final stage is art approval and, as mentioned previously, due to the size of the artbook and so many new materials for the US release, things are moving along but not finalized just yet. As soon as this process is completed, we’ll share an update with some preview pages. Just a reminder, if you have moved since filling out your survey and need to update your address, please send a message here via Kickstarter and we’ll get that adjusted on your order. We want to say again how much we appreciate your patience and understanding as we get closer to getting the finished product in your hands.
