Yes, it sure is, but holy shit does it ever get really hard near the end. I grew up on these kinds of games, so I was able to manage, but I couldn't imagine a "casual" gamer getting to the end. There's just no way. I mean, I enjoyed the hell out of the game (I've put in 18 hours I think, and I still have a lot to do if I want to get all of the achievements), and I love that it actually gets difficult, but I think most people will give up once they reach one of the harder battles or platforming sections.

Some of the inferno challenges are just insane. I think that's where I sunk most of my time in this game. I repeated one particular challenge about 300 times I think (the one where you have to fight off a ton enemies without getting hit a single time).

No special offer on my 360, probably because I haven't turned it on in months.

Thanks for the tip on the skeleton costume. I got annihilated for about 40 minutes, read that and ended up killing him in 2 minutes.

Anyone have stutter issues while playing a BD? I turned off BD Live, but every now and then, I'll get a little stutter once or twice during playback. I'm hoping an update can fix this.

I'm still waiting for the BD app to support various audio tracks. My AV receiver never pops up with the HD audio if I use the XO.

I'm sticking with my PS3 for my BD player for now.

I only played on normal, and I haven't tried any of the inferno challenges, but I found the normal game pretty easy. On the final boss, I had the chicken costume and I just turned on the intenso mode, and the bar stayed full the whole match because every time I would get hit, I would just roll back to him and hit it before it dropped. I don't remember any sections which required me to retry that much either. The final boss only took me 2 or 3 tries I believe.

I might go play the inferno challenges, but usually when I finish a game I don't try to 100% it. I only have about 6 hours of play time.

re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

Well I've now only got one Guacamelee achievement left, which is to complete the game on hard mode. I'll probably do it in the next month or so, but I'm kind of burnt out on this game. It says I've put in 23 hours. I've never been an achievement whore, but I've got 100% on Peggle 2 and Max, and Guac is almost done. Maybe it's because they seem more attainable in these smaller games... I'm not sure... but it's beginning to be a minor addiction.

So I am playing Guacamelee. It's definitely fun and I love all the references to older games, but I'll be damned if the platforming isn't a bitch sometimes.

Anyway, I'm stuck. I just met
Spoiler:
Flame Face in the bar and now I am not sure where to go or what to do.

Any ideas?

Did anyone mention Cuphead yet? It's an indie game coming to the XO, with a '30s animation design:

This is the closest any game has come to making me want an XO.

Check your map. It should always have an indicator which way you need to be headed.

yeah, we talked about it in the E3 thread. Basically was the most interesting indie thing they showed at the MS event.

I've read that it's a timed exclusive for the XO and that it'll hit PSN a few months after. Also, it's supposed to be a trilogy of games, which might get a cross-platfrom release once complete.

Looks like digital pre-orders are coming to XB1 according to Sunset Overdrive video.

I figured it out. Sometimes it's hard to tell where you can drop down below.

Did we ever see console sales numbers for June yet? I figure there would be a spike of XO sales after the "price drop" (for lack of a better term for Kinect unbundling), but I was curious how much and if it outsold the PS3.

We should see the NPD numbers sometime this coming week.

Have they improved the HDMI pass-through lag at all (namely in regards to the 360) since release?

Do you have separate gamer tags on your XB1 and 360? If not how does that work?

Nope. You can be logged into both systems at once and you can plug the 360 into the XO's HDMI pass-through (instead of a cable box). Some folks say there's a delay, but I haven't really noticed it. Haven't played Rock Band since the XO came out and maybe it's noticeable there.

Anyone have freezing issues? Mine are far and few between, but each time it's a constant buzzing noise and the screen freezes. I can only turn off the system to fix it. It has happened with Dead Rising 3, and Watch Dogs, and also NBA 2k14. It just now happened while I was playing Powerstars Golf.

Nope. The only thing I've noticed is, when playing Guacamelee, the system is super slow to respond if I try to go back to the Home screen. The game runs perfectly fine, but trying to do anything else seems to happen at a snail's pace. Seems like some kind of memory leak issue or something.

I've had a bunch of crashes to the dashboard, particularly with Forza, but no in game freezes I can remember, maybe 1 in DR3 at some point.

After doing the most recent update, my console stopped accepting discs, and the usual Xbox Turn Off / Xbox On cycling didn't correct it. After physically unplugging the console and starting it up again, it'd suck in those discs like normal.
