Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

He's fucked the occasional woman, used gadgets, had his drink, said his famous line, etc.

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

I think you wanted something specific to you, Ash.

I liked this approach and do think think G had to be presented like this after all the shit G has had. I love the G films, some good and some...

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

I think the first fight should have been shown but be short. The 2nd fight should been just a long one that flowed through the end as a constant with splitting of the whole nuke plot. I guess some...

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

I would've liked a female lead. We don't get enough of those.

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

Have you seen this yet, Ash?

There was some humor in it but it was a serious film. I liked that.

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

I think more fan favorite Kaiju could work in a more naturalistic setting.

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

Yeah. G was top notch. I do hope we get a feature that talks about how Serkis helped out G's movement.

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

I'd love to see Mothra via Edwards. My issue with that is that I don't think the tone of this new series would allow her priestesses to be in there.

Though if we did get JUST a Mothra vs. G...

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

I'm actually glad we didn't get any classic Kaiju in this. It was cool to see something different for Godzilla. Not too outlandish but also very Kaiju.

I wonder if Toho will make their own now? ...

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

I thought the same thing. We almost got to see an actual fight in the day. Cloudy and whatnot but it was the day. We merely got moments of it.

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread

I think most of us are being pretty objective, as much as one can.

Re: Godzilla (Edwards, 2014) — The Reviews Thread
