I'm having a lot of fun with this, though it's nowhere near as great as MvC2.

Well, it seems like I can sell my collectors edition for over $100 now, so I guess it really was limited and worth it!

I can probably sell it for $120, which should be more than enough to cover...

40 is not small.
Super moves are done maybe once every other fight.
Final boss is just one stage out of many - it's primarily a multi-player game.
All your criticisms are now been null and void.

I think the just the DLC characters will be $4 a piece on their own. So if you'd like two more playable characters, it should be worth it.

Yeah, I was pretty worried when I first saw that cinematic, thinking that would be the look of the game - but seeing the actual gameplay footage got me all excited!

Looks like they're using the RE5 engine, which is too bad as I was hoping this would be a 2D game using high-res sprites. I mean, a fighting game with comic book characters requires hand drawn art. ...
