I grabbed the only 360 CE at the local Kmart. Don't really want to sell it because the steelbook is beautiful. But its tempting at those prices...

The CE for both systems are back up on amazon as well. Who's buying this for that much on the day of release???
Also, I haven't really read many amazon reviews, but man are those reviews for the game worthless. One guy who hasn't played the game gave 1 star because it has less characters and no Ken. Two other guys, including one gamestop employee, gave 5 stars despite admitting to never having played the game (since it wasn't even out at the time). One review has a guy who apparently has been playing the game, though he somehow got it a week early.

Yeah, those high ebay prices are either gone or will be soon. Amazon got lots of copies, so it isn't that rare. Still, it seems more limited than many CEs. Makes my decision easier. I couldn't care less about the month of digital comics (whatever that even is), but the comic art book looks nice and the Steelbook is just gorgeous.

The Amazon ones seem to be going fast. They sold 100+ of the remaining PS3 ones in the past hour.

I have no idea what i'm doing in this game. I've always been a Street Fighter guy, so right now i'm just mashing buttons

I agree, the Steelbook art is pretty awesome. I'm glad I picked it up.
Also for those of you who are getting the PS3 CE or have it, the DLC code is on the back of the Mini-Comic that is attached to the back of the CE.
For 360 owners of the CE (from Capcom):
-For Xbox 360 copies of the special edition, we will send you your Xbox LIVE DLC code on March 15, 2011. To register your email with our system, please visit: marvelvscapcom3.com/redeemand follow the step by step instructions. The code on the back of your art book is NOT a Xbox LIVE code but rather, the code you input into our redeem site.

I had the CE pre-ordered at some point but ultimately cancelled it. I realized I don't really do fighters anymore, and will pick this up when it's cheap.

Of course, the first time I stop by K Mart in months and they didn’t even get the game in. I guess I might try and stop by again later this week. Did anyone else see the collector’s edition there?

I officially suck at this game. I've beaten Arcade a couple times and fought in some online, but these people are slaughtering me with massive juggle combos. Practice, Practice, Practice. I guess I have to find characters that I like.
So far the new ones I've enjoyed playing as are Deadpool, Amatirasu, and Super Skrull. My fallbacks are Iron Man, Magneto, and Wolverine. They also nerf'd Dr. Doom I noticed. Nowhere near as powerful as he used to be.

I'm a beast at mashing buttons and not blocking in this game. Fighting games have never been my thing, but I'm having fun so far. I did check out one Ranked match and got my ass handed to me. Halfway through, my only goal was to kill just one of the other dude's characters. Luckily I was able to do that, so mission accomplished!

It looks like Frank West and Doc Ock may be DLC.

Doesn't mean much. They already said that they had tried to include Frank West in this game but had to cut him.

Called three different K Marts and finally found one that had one in stock. They were even nice enough to put it on hold for me until I get off work. This is my first one in this series so I'm looking forward to it.

Per Joystiq
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 nixed Frank West late in development
by Ben Gilbert on Jan 24th 2011 11:55AM
Remember all those fancy combos you learned with Frank West last year in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom? Well, you can forget about redirecting them to Chris Redfield's face when Marvel vs. Capcom 3 ships this February. Plans for Dead Rising 1's main man being playable in MvC3 were in place -- his silhouette appears in the game's debut trailer , and he showed up in our leaked list of characters earlier this year -- but he was cut due to "some extra work involved, just from the nature of his moves."
West was reportedly "quite deep" into the process before getting axed. Capcom producer Ryota Niitsuma explained the loss to VideoGamer.com, saying, "We felt we could direct our resources to better use, so we've taken Frank out." We're hoping that "better use" of resources is directed at the development of a Chuck Greene character to round out a Dead Rising character DLC pack. They've murdered thousands of zombies, you know.er
