I think you're referring to "Afflicted." "Affliction" is a movie where Nick Nolte gets all mad and screams a lot.

Yeah, sadly, he's a product of a long-gone era. To think Hollywood went from Lawrence of Arabia and 2001 to Transformers. So it goes.

That a hell of a good movie, Nick Nolte & James Coburn at their best.
Too bad Paul Schrader doesn't make them like that anymore.

Oh, I agree it's a great movie. But I always refer to Nolte as a screamer. Just like Al Pa-screamo.

Les Diaboliques (1955)

I've seen this film countless times and that final act still makes my heart stop. I absolutely love this film.

A Better Tomorrow - 4/5

Two brothers on opposite sides of the law become enemies when their father is murdered. The film that put John Woo and Chow Yun Fat on the map and started the whole Hong Kong action film influx of the 80's.

The Bow - 4/5

An old man who runs a fishing boat finds a six year old girl and raises her for over the next ten years. He keeps her isolated from the outside world by not letting her off the boat and plans on marrying her the day she is of legal age. All seems to be going well until one day a family rents the boat and she meets a young man who throws a monkey wrench into the plans of the old man. Another deep film from Korea's best filmmaker.

Joseph Kosinski's Oblivion.

Not a bad flick.

Great sound and visuals.

Passion - 4/5

Two women employed by a German advertising agency engage each other in games of power and deception. Brian DePalma shows us he's still got it by channeling all the themes of his best 70's & 80's output.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Was it your first time seeing the film?

Tokyo Drifter (1966)
Branded To Killer (1977)
Godzilla: Final Wars (2004)

Great way to spend a (late) Tuesday night.

Amber Alert: Terror on the Highway - Really shitty TV movie that, according to IMDb, somehow cost $2M.

Sabotage - Arnold's Se7en-esque flick about crooked DEA agents. Severely underrated flick directed by David Ayer. I'm looking forward to "Fury."

Guardians of the Galaxy IMAX 3D (17 minutes) Sneak Peek - 5/5 - Rocket Raccoon will steal the show on August 1st.

Deliver Us From Evil - 4/5 - Not bad. I don't believe the author's claimed as "Based on true event". o.O

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 3D - 5/5 - Its my 2nd time viewing. Loves the motion capture and acting. Maurice's face gives me chill. LOL

Re: Last movie you watched

Human Pork Chop (2001): Has the mean-spirited aspect down, but it's fairly average compared to other CATIII films with similar influences.

Pig (1998): Striking imagery, always interesting to look at. The 23 minutes felt like it flew by.

1334
(2012): Posthumous sequel to Pig (1998). There are some good bits of imagery here, but it's not quite as good as the previous film was.

Return To Nuke 'Em High Volume 1 (2013): So random. I loved it.
