I wonder if he insisted on vetting the musical guest as a condition for coming on or if they actually sold it to him saying they'd make sure to get a musical guest that wouldn't be a problem this time around.

Dreamgirl, Punch You In The Jeans, Santana DVX and Sax Man and the title track are the only full songs left. And I can't see them doing the title track for SNL.
I would like to see them work on new songs though. Motherlover was great, the one with black Reba was pretty good, even the one with the shy guy had its moments.
The pre-taped stuff was great tonight. The Toyota/Ford ad, Broadview Security was awesome, and of course Boombox.

I thought it was an above average show. Loved the Twilight Zone spoof, especially when Pearl Jam showed up.

That Spanish casanova with the poison was a take-off of the opening scene from Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

The Twilight Zone sketch was the best and Pearl Jam was the best musical guest since U2 back in Sept. Wish they performed the Fixer.
They have 3 weeks to write some funny material when Tina Fey hosts.
Remember the last time she hosted in late Feb 2008 that was the 1st show after the writers strike ended and that was a great episode. Hoping for something similar.
