you know how misleading lost can be. they always show you something and get you to believe it and then say, "got ya! it was just a dream/hallucination"

how many episodes have there been/are there going to be? I thought this was a mini-series. I don't know if I can keep up with a full-blown series through seasons.

from today's Chicago Sun Times:

"Lost" (7 p.m., WLS-Channel 7):
Now even the characters are having trouble keeping track of what's going on. Claire has escaped Ethan Rom (an anagram of Other Man) but can't remember much of anything.
Never realized the anagram before -- but then again, I haven't read every 37-page Lost thread here

My thoughts and predictions on the possible upcoming spoiler:

Spoiler:
I did read that a cast member will die by the end of the season. I am guessing it is Jin. He'll probably do something to get the audience to like him and then he'll die. This may set up a little future romance between Mike and Sun.

Eh, who knows.

Eh, who knows.
I think
Spoiler:
it will be Claire that dies. But it will be the Gilligan's Island trick. Where Jack (Prof.) will fake Claire's (Gilligan) death to protect her from Ethan (tribesmen). And, Claire will come back at the end of the season or early next season after they defeat Ethan.

That's what I was also guessing, from those clips and just thinking about the whole cast. Also, that last clip on the Yahoo page, did anyone notice
Spoiler:
Jack appeared to have something tied to a cord around his neck that he was getting out to show Locke? My guess is it's the key to the marshall's briefcase, the one he and Kate unlocked with the guns in it, and that's the way he plans to "get the advantage back"... excellent idea, but I'm guessing that backfires also.

Wow:

I think he's buying a paper company in Slough

has to be the most subtle reference to another TV show ever

No kidding, my brother and I were thinking the same thing. "We're probably the only two people in Minnesota who got that one..."

Even before that reference, did I read too much into Charlie and Jin's "Annyong" greetings? If that was really what I thought it was, it was even more subtle.
