Old Game:
Bionic Commando
Relatively new game:
Tie between Super Metroid and Castelvania: Symphony of the Nights
I still play Contra too, can never get tired of that game. Contra on SNES was pretty cool too.

From: Where the sky is always Carolina Blue! (Currently VA - again...)
Like Jack, I'd say Aliens vs Predator (available in Final Burn emulation), then the Metal Slug series and the Shock Trooper series (though that was more scrolling up most of the time) (neogeo emulation).

I have no clue, since I am only master of the original Contra.
Of course, seeing as the last couple Contra games have been sub-par, it would not seem likely, but you never know.

Everyone I talk to remembers the code, probably for two reasons.
1. The game is pretty much impossible to solve without the extra men.
2. The code does not always take and must be preformed multiple times.

...I keep looking for Metal Slug X (recently reviewed in the new EGM), but so far, I've been unsuccessful (might not be out yet tho
