A 32-bit processor, larger cartridge space, backwards-compatible with GB and GBC games, 16:9 screen ratio, much better quality than the SNES..!
June 11, baby.

I'm all over it. not only is it essentially a portable snes, you forgot to mention that 4 players can play off one game, and the compatibility between it and Gamecube. Very cool.

Wow.. those are some awesome screen shots. The graphics look amazing.
When does this hit and what will the price be?
Also, any idea on the price range for the games?

MSRP will be $99. It's slated to come out on June 11.
Here's a pic of the system:
It uses 2 AA batteries and has a battery life roughly equivalent to the GBC.

$90?
damn.. that is pretty cheap. And its not as big looking as I thought it might be.
I may well be picking up one of these. I had a gameboy when it originally came out and spent lots of time as a kid playing while in the car, etc.

I have heard the system may be as cheap as $79.99, but even if its $89.99 its still a good deal. I just hope there are trade in deals like when the Game Boy Color came out. I practicaly got two of them for free by trading in my old clunky Game Boys and a few crappy games. The multiplayer off of one cartridge thing is already being shot down by developers though. They say its too tough to do with the limited ram for many games and its doubtful many games will end up using the option.

Over at PlanetN200 they posted the new Japanese commercials for GBA Mario, F-Zero and Kuru Kuru Kururin. The commercials feature some nice gameplay footage! I also dig the song in the background!
