It’s another remake of Star Fox 64!

Just calling it Star Fox is stupid but otherwise I'm down.

It's a remake of Star Fox 64. What should it be called?
Star Fox HD? Star Fox Remastered?
Star Fox HD? Star Fox Remastered?

When ever they call a game the exact same name as a game in the series that already exists it is stupid. If this was a remake of the original Star Fox that would at least make some sense but still be stupid. Considering it is a remake of Star Fox 64 and calling it the same name as the original game is lame.

I'm not that vested in the name either way but this may be their way of soft rebooting the series. There really hasn't been that much in terms of Star Fox releases at all in over a generation now. I think this must be Nintendo's biggest IP that entirely sat out the switch generation, Nintendo's most successful generation. Not even a rerelease of Star Fox Zero. (Nintendo classic games not counting) There's a whole new generation of potential new fans. I'm fine with them starting "fresh" (as fresh as they can with a remake of a 30 year old game).
on the pricing

I’m still a huge fan of StarFox Adventures… but they won’t remake that title.
My kids loved StarFox64.

I'll buy Star Fox on sale, I feel like I've bought it one too many times already but it's a favorite of mine.

As with other recent first-party Switch 2 preorders, Walmart is matching the digital price for the physical edition.

Finally got around to watching the video. (I like watching them with my kids)
This game looks really incredible. Maybe I'm so used to Nintendo games being just good enough. Or using art style in place of raw graphical power. But it looks really incredible. Like it really feels like this game couldn't have been released on the Switch 1.
I'm very excited for this. Yeah I know it's just a remake of Star Fox 64 but that somehow makes me more excited. Like I know I'm already going to like this game. And I guess I was wrong in the OOT remake thread. I guess this might signal the flood gates for Nintendo to start fully remaking their classic games.
I really think this could be a watershed game for Nintendo. I think they're using it as a test bed to see how they do with a lot of things.

- Remakes
- A game with high graphical fidelity
- Voice acting
- Cinematic cutscenes
- A lower effort game at a lower price point
- the whole Star Fox franchise
