Looks like Borderlands. I hope the characters and story are miles better than Borderlands 3. While I played that game a lot, I did everything I could to skip over the story parts.

there really is no real looter shooter quite like the Borderlands franchise. All of them are so masterfully crafted (including Tiny Tina's...). I love them all.

Weird I thought B-3 had the best story of all of them next to Tiny Tina's Wonderland.

Tiny Tina's story is "Let's sit down and play a board game".

I missed out on BL3 but loved Tiny Tina. I need space between these games so I think I'm ready for BL4.

Preorders are up. The base edition is $69.99. (I seem to remember some hubbub about the price maybe being $79.99?)

Damn, the "Super Deluxe Edition" is super-expensive at $129.99!!!! And doesn't include even a Steelbook?

I don't care at all about skins, but dang getting two new vault hunters sounds appealing. I always play the DLC, but $130 feels nuts...

Re: Borderlands 4 (PS5, XSX, PC; 9/12/25)

I don't care about skins. I'm indifferent over new characters. Most of the time, I try them out, but by the time they are released, I'm pretty set in one or two play styles from other characters. Definitely interested in new missions. Borderlands always seems to drop in price pretty quickly, so I'll hold off for now.

Re: Borderlands 4 (PS5, XSX, PC; 9/12/25)

I've been reading a few articles on semi-previews and so far most seem impressed and some saying this could be the Best Borderlands yet. Dual Shockers has two articles that's a fairly good read if interested....

But there is this, FYI, for whatever it's worth: Randy Pitchford makes people mad again by warning that Borderlands 4 will take even longer to get deep discounts than Borderlands 3 did

Wow, I doubt anyone expected BL4 to come to the Switch 2 just 3 weeks after the other consoles.

A nice-looking Steelbook version of the Super Deluxe Edition will be "available at select retailers at launch". No word about which retailers, or if all copies will be Steelbooks at launch. I placed a pre-order at BB just in case.

Re: Borderlands 4 (PS5, XSX, PC; 9/12/25)

i wonder how it would run on the SW2. pretty well I'm assuming if they're considering it to be like Cyberpunk and it can run at 60fps. I'm still getting on XBOX.

Re: Borderlands 4 (PS5, XSX, PC; 9/12/25)

Apparently it will be a download code and will run at 30FPS with some drops. Certainly not the ideal way to experience it if you have another option.
