That is what I thought, but they do show up (for now at least) on the Switch, with a button to click for Free Download, after 6/6. So I guess we'll see. Would be pretty shitty surprise for those who have NSO + Expansion, but not a Switch 2.

Zero interest in Gamecube games so I will be sticking with my reasonably priced base NSO service.

Does anyone know about transferring? I was going to transfer all my saves and stuff, but if I’m going to keep my 1 hooked up then it’s not necessary. But then the games that are enhanced are already showing on my Switch 1 and I would like only to transfer those. Is that possible? Thanks.

I don't understand the question. But just wait until the system comes out.
Literally nobody is able to use the system yet, not even IGN. So specific questions about how things operate on the Switch 2 will have to wait a week to be answered.

I would love if the GameCube games Viewtiful Joe and Eternal Darkness get released sometime soon after launch or at least this year. I loved those games.

I still own physical copies of those games, sort of regret not having a GC anymore.

My order through Nintendo is now showing as Preparing to Ship. I was assuming I wouldn't get it at launch due to when I received the invite, but it looks like I may get it for launch day. Paid extra for the fastest shipping option they had available.

Sounds like it is going to be pretty easy to get on launch day if you have a Best Buy or Target nearby to go grab one in-store.

Not to be too much of a Debbie Downer, but do you guys think they aren't letting game sites have their Switch 2 early is because they are aware and worried about a really short battery life on the system and are worried about getting that story out before launch? That's the only thing that makes sense to me. New console hardware is always available for review prior to launch.

We already know it’s going to be terrible. The expected hours is lower than the Lite model. Maybe Nintendo is hoping people didn’t notice that spec.

My boring guess is that Nintendo wants complete control over the narrative, and since they'll sell through every unit that's manufactured for the next however many months without any help from the press, why play nice? That would also jibe with Nintendo withholding some key functionality for a day-one patch (no eShop, can't play Switch 1 games, microSD doesn't work, presumably no online multiplayer) so that anyone who did get a Switch 2 early would be very limited in what they could say/do.

Battery tech hasn't improved a crazy amount so that's no surprise, as long as it isn't like 75 minutes. Hopefully somebody comes up with a decent fitting battery backpack.
