Ever buy a game because of The Questyen’s yearly threads?

This year I bought 4 bc of his thread and I tried them and couldn’t be happier. His reviews are better than most online legit sources. It expands my horizons in many ways and they all just hit.

Every year.

I just wrapped up Tchia which I'm pretty sure I bought because it was on his list last year.

Nope I really disliked Tchia so not on my list. I couldn't even finish it.

Looking back at the past several years’ lists, I think they led to me purchasing and playing Tinykin, The Wild at Heart, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Donut Country and Yoku’s Island Express.

There’s another dozen-ish that I either bought or wishlisted and never got around to playing due to lack of time.

Not that I can recall. Still enjoy his lists, even if my taste in games is often different than his.
Most of the games he likes that I don’t’ already own are indie games that I am disincentivized to buy because they tend to eventually go free on Game Pass or PS Plus. But sometimes I’ll make a mental note.

Could there be a new list where Michael Corvin names a game he played because it was on the list and The Quesyen says no it wasn't? I'd also follow that list.

TheQuestyen plays a lot of indies so I'm always trying out games I got for free because of his threads.

Coulda searched last years thread, but this was way more entertaining.

I loved the hell out of Tchia though. Curious why you didn't like it Quesyen. Too much collecting?

No such thing as too much collecting. It's been so many games ago hard to remember but here's what I posted a year and a half ago when I played it "everything gameplay related is below average. If you are going to have an open world collectathon it has to be fun to control and move around the world but this was so uninteresting."

That's fair. I loved possessing the animals for traversal. Some of the sailing got a bit tiresome (could have used a few more docks/fast travel points), but liked it on the wholle.
