More details!
How have you all been these last few weeks? We hope you are getting ready for a nice festive season with your loved ones. Since releasing Astro Bot earlier this year on PlayStation 5, we have been submerged by lovely comments from you and the PlayStation community, and we are delighted with the critical response to the game all over the world. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for showing your appreciation. It truly means a lot to us. As our way of saying thank you, it is my pleasure to announce that a whole new piece of free additional content is coming to Astro Bot. Indeed, the little robotic elves of Team Asobi have been very busy preparing a whole new level called Winter Wonder, which will be coming live on Thursday, December 12 at 6:00 pm PT You will need to have completed the game for this special update to appear. Since we want it to remain a little surprise, we will not say too much, but you should expect a fun-filled level with shiny presents, a good dose of jingle bells, and brand-new special bots to add to your crew! This winter update was made with every user in mind, meaning it is a celebration enjoyable for children and adults alike. So, no hair-pulling challenge this time! :) We had a lot of fun making this special present for you all, and we hope you enjoy it very much, too. That's all from us. This year has been a very special journey for us at Team Asobi, and we thank you for joining us. Until next time, we wish you a very relaxing and restful end of the year, full of gaming of course, but above all, full of good health and happiness all around. |

There are 3 new trophies and a bunch of new gachas to go with the holiday level too. It’s great, using a whole bunch of abilities.

I've been playing this after finally putting down College Football 25. I absolutely love it so far. I've 100% the first two areas. The triangle areas gave me fits.

Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
I played a couple more hours yesterday. I 100% the third area. I spent half of my time on the lost circle levels. Those are hard.

Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
I beat the main game and the Christmas dlc planet. I'm at 307 of 307 bots. I attempted the Grand Master Challenge, but gave up after about ten attempts. It took me over an hour to beat To The Beat. It's probably going to take me 3-4 hours to beat the Grand Master Challenge.
It's an amazing game overall. It might be my favorite game of the 2020s so far. |

Astro Bot: five new levels and Special Bots begin rolling out today
To start the year on a good note, we are delighted to announce new Astro Bot content is coming starting today. You might have noticed that a, yet unreleased, level of Astro Bot was featured at the PlayStation XP Tournament Final in London, England on January 18. That very level, along with 4 additional ones will be coming your way inside the brand-new Vicious Void Galaxy, starting today. As before, this new update is completely free of charge and a gift from us to you, the Astro Bot community. These five levels will appear on a weekly basis as follows:
Unlike our last update Winter Wonder, which was a walk through the Xmas park, this new update features harder levels to test your jumping skills. Each level comes with a brand-new Special Bot to rescue and, once that’s done, can be replayed in Time Attack mode with online rankings. To access these, you will need to have completed the main game. So sharpen those skills again and let’s get rescuing. But hold on, we still have more news. Alongside these five new levels, we are pleased to say that owners of the PS5 Pro will be able to enjoy an improved version of Astro Bot featuring a constant best resolution while still running at 60 frames per second. |
Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
I really need to take this game out of the plastic.
|
Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
Not an amazing performance or anything, but my most recent attempt of the new level, Thrust or Bust:
Would’ve gone better if I’d realized I needed to mash a bell to finish. :p |
Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
It’s just really about finishing some of these levels. To The Beat was such a pain for me.

Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
Sorry for anyone who thought I was bumping this thread because there's a new update or something, but I just got excited:

fuck, i need that.

Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
Cute. I bet it's super expensive.
|
Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
It's very small. I doubt it would be that expensive. But yeah, looks amazing with the controller.

Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
The price wasn’t too bad: $42.99 directly from Goodsmile. It’s probably been $30-something at some point on Amazon, from Big Bad Toy Store, etc.
But they do preorders laughably far in advance — I placed my order last September, and it was slated for a Q3 2025 release! — and can sell out quickly. Hopefully these will show up at other retailers again soon. If you see one, it’d be worth grabbing; these were tough to find for a couple years there. (This is technically an Astro's Playroom figure rather than from the more recent Astro Bot game, so it's not a "new" figure.) |
Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
ASTRO's Playroom - ASTRO Nendoroid Re-Run: $55.99 ($41.99 after coupon)
Coupon code: SPLASH25 (expires June 22) Free U.S. Shipping over $75 (if below threshold, S/H should be $8.99) https://store.crunchyroll.com/produc...416929424.html |
Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
I have no idea what a Nendoroid is, but he's cute.
$56, or even $42 with coupon seems ASTROnomical for a figure that's less than 4" tall. |
Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
Awesome. I need that Ghost od Tsushima bot!
|
Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
Another new VIP Bot, and a truly awesome one at that.
Spoilered for those who want to be surprised : Spoiler:

Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
I’ve played through 3 of the 5 new levels. I definitely did not knock these out on my first or second try. :p I’m rustier than I thought, and some elements of the controls had faded from memory (like pressing square rather than a trigger to throw the hourglass).
