Madden NFL 25

EA will release the first details on Madden NFL 25 on June 11. As usual, there will be three different versions to choose from. Standard, Deluxe and the MVP Edition, which will include EA SPORTS College Football 25. IMO, this is a great deal getting both games for basically 75 bucks apiece. It's cheaper than that if you have EA Play.

Standard edition includes: ($69.99)

Cover Athlete Elite Player Item
Choice of 2 Strategy Items
Superstar Drip Gear (PS5, XSX only)
Legendary XP Boost (PS5, XSX only)

Deluxe Edition: ($99.99)

Madden NFL 25 (PS5 & PS4, XSX, Xbox One)
3 Day Early Access
Early Access Ultimate Team Challenges
4600 Madden Points
AKA Player Item
Cover Athlete Elite Player Item
Legendary XP Boost

MVP Bundle: ($149.99)

Madden NFL 25 Deluxe Edition
3 Day Early Access
4600 Madden points
Elite Player Item
College Football 25 Deluxe Edition
3-Day Early Access
4600 College Football Points

August 16 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, or August 12 if you preorder the Deluxe Edition.

Re: Madden NFL 25

I’m guessing Lamar Jackson or Mahomes is the cover athlete. Travis Kelce maybe? Love? Stroud? CMC?

Re: Madden NFL 25

Mahomes has been twice, Lamar once. It might be Burrow. But they might want to jump on the Stroud bandwagon early.
Or maybe they'll go with Goff or Dak.

Re: Madden NFL 25

My guess is McCaffrey or Kelce. They need to switch it up from the QBs.

Doubtful that they would go with Stroud because he's the cover guy for 2K's mobile NFL 2K Playmakers game.

I’m surprised that it might be him. Especially coming off a major injury.

I might have to buy this one.

Cue Jeff coming in and talking about how CMC will blow out his knee on opening night and the Chiefs will go undefeated.

Re: Madden NFL 25

You know this game is going to be a mess when the first thing you see is Justin Fields returning a kickoff.

Re: Madden NFL 25

I think deluxe pre-orders have this unlocked today.

I'm realizing I may have to pick it up. For the first time in Madden history, the coach of my team is actually in the game.

Re: Madden NFL 25

My work just sent an email to enter a drawing for a digital copy of Deluxe Madden 25. Last year they did the same and I won Madden 24. Hopefully I get a copy.

Re: Madden NFL 25

I played the trial for a couple hours. It’s better than last years. In my first game, Jake Moody missed an extra point and two field goals so it’s definitely realistic.

But then CMC had a partial tear in game two and Nick Bosa was hurt trying to hug Trump. Both are out six and four weeks respectively.

Re: Madden NFL 25

If there's any good news about this game, its that it will get me used to the kickoff rules by the time the new season starts.

I also scored a touchdown in OT in a regular (non-playoff) game and it applied the playoff rules, where the other team still gets a chance to possess the ball/match my touchdown. I didn't think that was a rule in 2024 - did they change the OT rules again, or is the game messed up?

Re: Madden NFL 25

You're right. Regular Season OT rules are unchanged for 2024.

Re: Madden NFL 25

Got the email today that I was one of the winners of the Madden 25 deluxe edition raffle. NFL emailed me the code to claim the digital copy.

Re: Madden NFL 25

I thought the commentary was off on College Football 25, but Madden 25 might be worse - I've had the announcers say I just kicked a field goal after scoring a touchdown; that the score was close after a blowout; and all kinds of strange comments that did not mesh with what was happening in the game.

Re: Madden NFL 25

^^ LeBron has always been a Madden head. That somewhat famous picture of him holding a PS2 and all its cables when he was traveling was so he could play Madden.

EA added Saquon's backwards hurdle to the game in its newest update.

No, no, that lines up for the modern culture we are living in.

Well, it wasn't opening night . . . but I must point out he was on IR for about 2 months and has not come back the same.

The Curse lives on.
