Ever buy the same game on multiple consoles?
And, on purpose? I am tending to like my PS5 more than I expected. I can’t even remember the last time I played a game on XBSX. I just like the PS5 more. The games, the ease of operation, just the whole box in general. And, as much as I still like my Xbox, I try to buy all newer games for PS5, if multiple consoles. Certainly, the exclusives are 10x better than Xbox. So, now I’m thinking of repurchasing some, not all, but some games I have on Xbox and get for PS5. Especially, the ones I haven’t played yet on Xbox. I dunno. Does that sound insane?

If you want to play the game on PS5, you should go for it.

But, you have to admit, it would be quite a waste. I have like over $350 in PS wallet and only a couple games pique my attention in near future, well, maybe 3. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Avatar, and new Prince of Persia. Other than that, that’s it. But, I’m thinking of rebuying RE4 remake and starting fresh. But, it also sounds loony.

Past purchases are a sunk cost. If you’re going to spend 30 hours playing a game, then you might as well pay $10-20 if you’ll enjoy the experience more.

Unless it's a remake/remaster or something then not often. There has been a couple times where a game was a Switch exclusive at launch so I bought it there and then later on came to PS4/PS5 so I bought it there since that is where I would prefer to play it but that is rare.

I have Arkham Asylum on PS3, 360 (digital and physical), and Xbox One. Had it on PS3 first and then I downloaded it for 360. I wanted a physical copy for 360 and got it cheap from GameStop. Then when I got my Xbox One I bought the Return to Arkham set where it’s included.

I remember when the 360/PS3 came out, I bought Madden for those two consoles plus the PS2 and Xbox. I was single and had money to burn back then.

I’ve got several of the various Skylanders games on different platforms (Wii/WiiU/PS4/XB1) due to the figures that came with them.
I also have Starlink on the Xbox and Switch for the same reasons.
I also picked up Tom Clancy’s The Division on PS4 and XB1 dirt cheap so I could play with different friends.

For sure. I bought TMNT: Shredder's Revenge for Switch so I could play with friends, but found myself booting it up more on Xbox Game Pass when I wanted to play by myself,, so I bought it.
I have Songpop Party for X1 and Switch, so I can play on whichever system I have booted.
I used to play the crap out of MVP Baseball 2005 for PS2, then a few years later I found out that MVP Mods community was keeping the game up to date but you had to play on PC, so I bought the PC version and played for many more years after that.
