Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

It appears Ubisoft's expectations for this were too high (as usual) and it isn't selling as well as they had hoped. Their stock is tanking as a result.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

If you really want to sell a game to the masses for $70, maybe don't make it fully playable for $18?

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

Not only that, but they give you full access to the $130 Ultimate Editions; how do you not include the increase in numbers of UB+ subs?

Also, you have a history of having a sale on your games not that long after they release.

If not for UB+, I would have kept my pre-order of the $110 Gold edition, now I will just wait for a cheap price to own it.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

I might re-up US+ one more month to finish the game. Unless it goes on sale in the next couple of weeks. Then I might just buy it. It's not like I don't have plenty of stuff to keep me occupied anyway.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

I am at the end. I think I am about 50 hours in, with about 90% quests done. Been a fun ride.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

Just beat it. That ending is crazy long.

One of my more favorite games of this generation. I had a blast playing it. Definitely better than reviews were for it, IMHO.

Just finished up the main story and did most the major side quests other then the Sabaac related ones which I have zero interest in. I'd say the reviews are pretty spot on. OpenCritic has it as a 76 and that feels right to me. It's solid but does nothing great and is not in the same ballpark as the Jedi Order/Jedi Survivor games.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

I enjoyed it a lot more than the Respawn Jedi games. That being said, I canceled my Ubisoft plus subscription. I will wait for the game to have a sale and purchase it. Not that it isn’t worth full price, I just spent $18 on the “trial” so anything off retail works for me.

Until your subscription expires it gives 20 percent off the game.

The more I play this, the more I really, really like it. It has flaws but it's got plenty of immersive missions and if it wasn't "Star Wars", it'd still be a fun game --- since it IS Star Wars --- and they've done a helluva job making it feel all Star Wars-y, it's even better.

Yeah but I hate buying digital games unless it's a Final Fantasy/Last of Us/Like a Dragon type huge game that I'd want to play again. Or Fallout/Elder Scrolls/Starfield etc. That and it would still be like $56 after 20% off. I'm shooting for $39.99 or lower. Besides, I am gonna be playing Starfield again in a couple of weeks so I can wait.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

Finished this today, at 60hrs with 27 (!) intel, 5 key component quests, and tons of upgrades map locations and faction rep incomplete. By the time I'd reached the point of no return, I was ready to see the story through to the end.

I don't see how this doesn't end up as one of my favorites of the year. Ultimately, I think I enjoyed this more than the Jedi games, too. The density and attention to detail in these environments really sets this game apart.
Spoiler:
Happy to see Vader in any media but he felt pretty unnecessary here. But he looked awesome and did a cool thing with the glass, so we're good.

Sounds like this isn't selling like they anticipated but I still think a sequel is inevitable.

The 1.2 patch is up, and the list of updates is pretty enormous.

Glad I held off. Some of those patches seem like a big deal. Especially the stealth adjustment.

For those who, like me, was waiting for a BF discount on this game :

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

I'd hold out further until it's 50 percent off. That's not much of a discount.

BTW check your console of choice because at least on pc all versions are on sale.

I'll wait for it to be 19.99 on Amazon after the holidays.

I think you're thinking of the Ultimate edition. The version Amazon is selling for 49 today has a regular price of 69. It's "Limited" because it's an Amazon exclusive.

  • Only at Amazon! Limited Edition Content* - The Rogue Infiltrator Character Pack includes cosmetics for Kay and Nix.

I’ll wait for a $20-$30 price point to own it.
