Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

Yeah at 6pm Pacific I tried my first World Boss since switching to WT3 and had like 6 people waiting there with 5+ minutes before even started. Only died once and we beat it with like 8minutes left on timer. Have done 100% ton all 5 maps and started doing TREE favors. Have gotten 4 chests so far and a 3 Unique's. Going to do more then Helltides.

Yeah, once you get out of WT 2 the timer's not an issue. On WT 4 last season Ball Lightning Sorcs and Hammer of the Ancient Barbs could take the world boss down in seconds.

This season all you need is a couple of Storm Lighting Druids and Charge Barbs....

I love my Unique Gauntlets that have 20% chance to freeze enemies . Too bad the other 3 Unique I don't use, I still like my previous Legendarys instead.

Yeah, I was just looking at the tier list on Maxroll and the top tier endgame builds are just barbs and druids. Twisting Blades Rogue finally got nerfed down a tier.

Yea...from what I've seen and heard...It's a Barb and Druid Fest out there.....Twisting Blades got nerfed from having three hits to two and read somewhere poison got something as well. Some have said there's 1-2 good bow builds.....two of us still haven't jumped in yet and frankly it's 50/50 at this point; we're having too much fun and stuff in Warframe with 1-2 others need to get back to....but I'm also interested in picking up Helldiver's II for just sheer stupid shooting fun....not to mention I've followed Skull & Bones and watching if this will finally be good; really like the theme on this one.....

Yeah, it's pretty much barbs and druids with a few rouges. Not many sorcs.

It's not as good as last season, but better than season 1. The Nightmare Vaults were a good idea in theory, but the last room is a pain in the ass if you're a melee character. It's near impossible to not get hit or step on a trip with the size of the mobs.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

There's some serious massive changes coming especially for Season 4 and from all looks of it and hearing from the "Experts"...these changes get Two Thumbs Up.....Rhykker has a real good video up (below) on the proposed changes. I skipped Season 3, just needed a break but itching to get back in with Season 4 that comes late April....

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

I've never played a Diablo game before and I fired this up last night... freaking loving it. The overall setup of my character (Druid) is a bit confusing - gear to wear, skill tree, etc but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.

Is this game possible to complete as a single player or must you play with more people?

Yeah, you can solo it.

You may want to follow a character build guide like maxroll.

Lightening Storm seems to be the best Druid build right now.

Going to be a lot of whining about HOTA finally getting nerfed

Less items, but higher quality drops is a big improvement so is lvl 95+ only dropping 925 items.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

here's is Rhykker's take on testing the PRT Day One. Now what you are seeing is Level 100. Blizzard bumped up all the testers to 100 so to pretty much test and play with the max ranked changes. ....this is a serious overall and huge changes. There might be certain Builds get nerfed but one now has so many choices and options to make their gear better, Meta Builds might not be needed. Good stuff......

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

I planned on jumping back in when season 4 starts just because it's the team that did season 2, but the changes look good. Definitely looks like you will spend less time trying to figure out what stuff to keep and what to get rid of.

I bailed on season 3. I think I had a Barb up to 80 and just got bored with it.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

I just needed a break....got the game day one and played both Season 1 & 2. I did the same thing with Diablo 3, play a season or two than take a break; same with Path of Exile....But we're itching to get back in....and stragely so far, not a word or hint or clue as to Season 4 Theme. All the changes in the video is for base game....makes you wonder what season will be and add all this on top of it...

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

Dumb question: what are seasons in this game? I suspect the game I'm playing via Game Pass is the single player story mode where you are trying to wipe out Lilith. So seasons are basically added chapters like DLC?

They're themed events that usually last a few months. They have their own questline and in game events. You can't access them until you finish the main story.

The current season you had basically a robot pet that you could collect stones that would give it abilities. Each season you have to start with a new character.

Here's the blizzard page on the current season

To add to what MrX said....

Season is a special theme event that last, well a season for a few months. You create a character for that Season period which that character is separate from the base game. And you cannot pull, use, move any resources from your Base Stash; Season and Base remain separate. Now, at the end of the Season you have some options to do whatever you want; keep or delete your season character and same with any stash gear items. Any Seasonal Special Items that you pick up and use during season are gone. They do not move over to your Base Stash. That could be special gems, gear, resources, etc...For the most part players will keep the super special drop stuff and just break down/sell the rest. Your Base Stash has a limit. Same with Character since most already have their Base Characters and unless they're supr special and leveled to 100, they just delete them. Character/Classes come and go but gear can be special and makes the class....

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

Sounds like season 4 isn't going to really be much of a new season. It's mostly all the changes to the core game.

I saw that now when you extract an aspect from a legendary weapon it stays permanently in your codex.

Several weeks ago there were a few rumors circling around as to what the Season 4 Theme would be and...The Iron Wolves....was mentioned. Fast forward and about a week ago there were far more creditable sources saying the rumor was true; Season 4 will be about The Iron Wolves. Still no details though but all the changes being mentioned are for the Core Game and Seasonal. It's going to be some serious fun....

UPDATED...I was checking around some sites and it appears while The Iron Wolves will have a roll, the real theme is...Loot Reborn....and arrives FREE May 14th will all the changes...

Here's notes from the Livestream yesterday

https://www.wowhead.com/diablo-4/new...ary-339150#q-a

I read glyph XP is also getting boosted and your horse no will no longer automatically slow down when it goes through a town.

Maxroll released their early season 4 tier lists. The buff to minions looks like it’s made Necro the top For endgame.
