Survival horror makes total sense for this. Can't wait!

Re: Alan Wake 2 (2023)

"Alan Wake 2 is on its way to becoming a great game and has everyone excited at Remedy," Virtala said. "We have started the last major phase of full production to get the game ready for launch later this year. The project is fully staffed, but we will be able to start scaling down the team size gradually as we progress towards the launch. These freed-up developers will contribute to our other game projects that are being driven towards the next stages of development."

According to Virtala, both Control 2 and the Max Payne 1&2 remakes have progressed to the proof-of-concept stage. "Control 2, which moved into the proof-of-concept stage in January, has progressed well," Virtala said. "During the first quarter, the development team focused on world building and gameplay mechanics. In addition, we have been developing the visual target of the game"

As for the Max Payne 1&2 remakes, the "development team has worked efficiently in proving the key elements of what Max Payne is all about and in bringing the game in high quality to today’s consoles and PCs."

Been seeing online that there will be no physical release of this game. Digital only.

Re: Alan Wake 2 (2023)

^ Not entirely surprising. But I imagine that leaves the publisher open to make a deal with Limited Run Games or a similar company to overcharge for a few thousand copies of a physical release that comes out two years after the game launches.

@alanwake@remedygames I mean... we did the disc version of Alan Wake for PC back in the day ICYMI And just because ONE person (or company) does not love physical, there is plenty who still do. Give it some thought. We'd love to go at it again! Full circle and all.

That's not old, that's living in a cave.
ICYMI is something made up specifically for old people.

I dunno, that sounds like stupid kid shit like YOLO and FOMO. I see ICYMI and my mind starts wondering why someone misspelled ICBM.

LOL, LMAO, ROTFL and to a lesser extent SMH? Those I know to be pretty common. But ICYMI is new to me.

Anyway... This game looks really good and I look forward to it. As for a lack of a physical copy, with games I'm okay with it cos I own the file and can back it up. Unlike streaming (be it movies, TV, music, or games).

No, not what I was referring to. I just subtracted the IC from ICYMI.
