No he was asking if it mattered if he played the second one on PS5 after playing the first on the 360. Certain games have carry-over from the first game if you have a game save on the same system family (like Telltale Game sequels and Mass Effect games). This is not that kind of game. Everyone who played had the same outcome for Alan, so there’s no previous save info that needs to carry over for the sequel.

IGN gave this a 9/10... I will likely pick it up when it's on sale.

It's cool that it's 60 bucks - nice to see that.

Because it's digital only.

Actually, that's just for the standard version (which I guess is still a good price). The deluxe version includes all the DLC including the expansion.

Also, digital editions usually cost more anyway.

Take a look at the prices at places like amazon for physical copies comparted to the digital cost at the Microsoft store. Big savings.

With that said, it is easier for online stores that sell digital only to do flash sales, push services like game pass, etc... And they also cut the prices on many titles after they release them as well but still, There are a lot of older games out there with a considerably higher price for digital only.

Re: Alan Wake 2 (2023)

But that was not your original statement.

You made an unconditional blanket statement, as if all new games have different prices with Physical vs Digital which is not true.

Not sure why you needed to look up what you quoted as that is well known.

Yeah the publisher said themselves the reason it released at $60 was because it was digital only and that if they would have released a physical version also it would have raised the price to the standard $70.

Ah, yeah. I see that I missed that he was asking if this was an ME situation. My bad.

??? My "blanket statement" is also true - you replied with basically nothing so I decided to provide extra as well? What am I missing here??? I mean, you can literally look everything up yourself and see.

Re: Alan Wake 2 (2023)

Played through a chapter and a bit. The sound is buggy on Xbox and that shit needs to be fixed. First time I booted up in Performance mode, the sound cut completely during the opening cutscene and didn’t come back. Second time I booted up in Quality mode, and it was fine but then I noticed the music was cutting in and out.

Other than that, the game is silky smooth so far. The procedural detective stuff is interesting and I like how it’s implemented in the game, but I’m waiting for the moment when the game kicks into high gear.

Yeah, it an official Old Gods of Asgard (a.k.a. Poets of the Fall) music video, using live action footage featured in the game. Interestingly, it's four minutes shorter than the actual song, despite the added spoken intro in the music video.
