Tried some more Gamepass games. First Last Stop which is getting pretty good reviews as a Telltale style story driven game where you play 3 different stories one chapter at a time. I played through the first chapter and found all 3 stories boring and your choices meant nothing so I quit that. Then started The Ascent which I had a fun 4-5 hours with but then the difficulty got to much for my enjoyment. I was playing on easy and levelled up 5 levels past the mission level recommendations I was trying and still dying constantly. Died 10 times on a boss so went online for tips bought the exact weapons and armor recommended and then spent every point I had on powering that gun up and still got my ass handed to me. Cool world and design though.

I discovered Dyson Sphere Program last month whilst recovering from a health issue. And basically the rest of my life dissipated in quanta as the World's Greatest Timesink took over.

Since Hades made its Game Pass debut, I decided to play that again. Unfortunately it doesn't cross-save with the PC or Switch versions so I started from scratch, which I actually don't mind. I already had my first escape on my 13th attempt. I really just love this game.

I finally finished the single player campaign on RDR2. Wow. Was that long and amazing. Even after you finish the story there's still the rest of the map to explore which was part of the last game.
I started playing some PC Game Pass games I meant to get to. I tried The Ascent for a while but it's so buggy I'm not going to bother- it hitches on my setup, and I have a decent one- 5820k/2080Ti, so I decided to pass on it until it gets patched. Played Hades for a bit- I will definitely get back to that. Then installed Jedi Fallen Order which is all around amazing. Like playing an interactive movie- I will definitely stick with this one for a while. Just wish I had a better setup to get the most out of it in 4k.

Just a quick dumb question, does anyone know if I can download the Wind Waker for the Switch, or is it only for the WiiU, or whatever it's called? The Nintendo website is a little confusing...

Well, I know the next game I'm getting, Civilization VI for the Switch. A buddy just stopped by briefly and showed me it and I was stunned. Looks like a lot of fun, and a lot of hours will be spent on it. Hope to download it tomorrow, so long as I can go and get a SD Card (I live like half-hour from the nearest bus-stop, so travel is kind of difficult, not to mention annoying...hopefully I'll make due, cause I'd love to just pick up a Nintendo eCard at 711, but I don't have the disc space to download the game as is...so hopefully tomorrow at some point I'll have it in my possession)...

Wrapped up Twelve Minutes (XBSX). Pretty disappointing because I had high hopes for it. The story was underwhelming, big name voice acting was forgettable, and for a game that takes place in basically one room and has been being worked on for like 10 years it's kind of janky. Now onto Cris Tales which is on Gamepass also.

Spoiler:
and stopped there. Ended up reading spoilers about the rest of the game, and decided it'd be a waste of time to finish it. Ah well. Thank goodness for Game Pass.
I'm going to finish up Quake instead. I played that game so damn much 25 years ago... this remaster is fantastic.

One day I’m sure they’ll port it to the Switch.

Playing Fallen Order a little more. Boy this game is just not good, everything about it is off. The fighting is a lesson in frustration, the platforming is off, the puzzles aren’t any fun. The only thing semi-interesting is the story and sound. The production values are super-high but that still doesn’t make the game any good. I’m glad this is included in gamepass. I’m going to move on to something else.

I’m not a fan of the Souls games and Fallen Order tries too hard to offer a Souls like mechanic in the game.
Any suggestions for RPG/Adventure games in PC Gamepass? I’ve played all the Bethesda ones so those are out.

Yeah, while I love Soulsborne - I weirdly find I don't like most of the ones inspired by them. There's a balance to them that is something From Software has nailed.

Re: What Are You Playing? (August 2021)
think I’m gonna start this up tomorrow.
Played CoD2 today. Not bad, but shows it’s wear and tear since old. I think I like the more modern, more refined shooters of today. But, I’ll finish sometime. Love killing me some Nazis. I don’t think I’ve played, but have MW3. Not sure why I never got to it though since I loved MW1 & 2. Maybe give that a go, but kinda want to revisit and finish again, the first 2 remasters and then MW3. But, firstly Blops3. That looks fun and advanced, meaning great control. Love the Prince of Persia wall running and light platforming elements and such great movement, and of course shooting. Sounds almost like Crysis series, which I love.

Pretty disappointing year in general so far (yes I realize COVID). I have like maybe 6 games that I would feel comfortable making my annual top 20 at this point. If this continues will probably be my least favorite year of games since I've been making my lists.
