Can an cross-game Amibo (like a Yoshi) be used in Animal Crossing, or is it limited to AC Amibos only? https://www.polygon.com/animal-cross...hotopia-harvey |

Does using bait increase your chances of catching a rare fish?

Bait is good for the smaller spots like ponds and piers where it takes longer to get a fish to respawn (for the fish that only show up in those spots)
Soooo tired of the sea bass. :johnwoo: |

So where do people get all these cool things I see on other peoples islands (you tube)? If the ABD inventory doesn't really change save for fencing, does this come form the 4 rotating things at Nooks Cranny? Are these items different for everyone? If so, can you visit someone else's island and buy the different items?
Once my next resident moves in tomorrow I've got to get my decorating on to attract KK, but there doesn't seem to be much useful stuff. I've already built up an outdoor dining area, a small playground and a private beach area. |

Anyone have turnips selling for more than 100?
Prices on my island have been at an all time low this week, and I've got a ton of turnips to unload STAT. |

re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons (3/20/20, Switch; 1/15/26, Switch 2)
The stuff in Nooks Cranny (on the back wall) is random each day. It can only be purchased once, and is then sold out for that day. You can visit someone else's town, and buy that stuff if they have not.
99.9% of the stuff I get from islanders is clothes :( . I do get quite a bit of furniture from balloons, and 2 a day from trees, although the balloons seem to repeat.

My wife and I spent pretty much the last two weeks completely remaking our island (moving houses, adding villagers & booting ones we didn't want, creating our whole central town section) it's been pretty fun and we're pretty happy with it. Still a work in progress. It got us to 5 stars though.

Anyone have cardboard boxes or the recipe to make them? Trying to move in a favorite villager via the campground and I have to make her a cardboard sofa, but I don’t have the 2 cardboard boxes needed for it.
I have recipes to make small and medium cardboard boxes but those won’t work. It has to be plain old cardboard boxes like the ones that show up in the overflow box in the resident center building sometimes. |

re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons (3/20/20, Switch; 1/15/26, Switch 2)
I have been fishing my butt off to try and get 3 of several fish for CJ. Some fish are so rare that I have only caught 1-2 of them. I always donate my first to my museum. I made over 200 bait today. What a grind to make bait one at a time.
