Sounds like a cool concept
Makers of Cyberpunk have come out today saying if you buy one copy, it will work on every system.

Yeah, I applaud this kind of forward thinking, but unfortunately it also makes me want to wait instead of jumping in asap.

I'm still on a launch Xbox One, so maybe I'll jump in at launch for this since I didn't pick up a One X.

I'm always an early adopter... I'll definitely pick one up... maybe a 2nd for my son.

Considering the rumors that 2077 is having a tough time running on current gen, it may get me up there as well.

Oodles of updates at Xbox Wire; detailed specs, photos, etc. So extensive that I'm not sure what highlights to list here.

...and Digital Foundry's hands-on.

re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

That's going to be awesome.

What would be extra cool is if MS allowed you to install Windows 10 on the NVMe expanded storage card, so you can use the xbox as a standard desktop PC.
It wouldn't just be a regular PC either - the specs on this would make it a kick-ass gaming rig. Basically a monster console and PC all for $500 or so.

MS doesn't care how you play their games... console, PC, Xcloud... they just want everyone on their ecosystem. Allowing to use this as a PC would go further in achieving that.

I don't much like the idea of proprietary memory cards.

So like I said, the console is not that big at all.

It's from the bottom of this page:

https://www.xbox.com/en-IN/consoles/xbox-series-x

Coming Thanksgiving 2020

They must have produced a ton already or something if they're that confident in the date with everything else going on. I'm not even sure what Black Friday is going to look like this year.

Also that site is the India site, the US site says Holiday 2020. I'm not even sure why they would put Thanksgiving for India, does that even hold any meaning for them?

re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Looks like Nov 2020 is not true:

@majornelson: An Xbox product page in some regions inaccurately listed the launch date for Xbox Series X as Thanksgiving 2020. We are committed to launching Holiday 2020

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but it seems like there's still room in that statement to allow for a November release. Thanksgiving 2020 is a specific day; Holiday 2020 covers a whole bunch of November and December.

re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

I don't see either launching this fall anymore. Kind of a bummer, but ... priorities. I guess Sony could launch everywhere but here and survive, but if the US is still knee deep in the Coronavirus (and recovery) Xbox doesn't stand a chance. The US IS their market.

re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

So many of the games we play are not graphics intensive software, tech demos really don't do it for me anymore. But we've become very impressed with the Games with Gold and GamePass stuff we'll probably upgrade just to keep that library of stuff going.

Funny, we never bother with the whole Xbox biome until about 3 years ago when we got a One S to use as a media player in the bedroom.

Agreed. All this means is that you will pay twice as much for the same amount of storage because it’s Xbox branded and not an everyday usb drive.

I'm watching the games reveal now.......they look dreadful, really bad and bland.

I hope they're all in very early development it but I doubt it.

Most are supposed to be 120fps. Cool, except no real monitors or TV’s can do that yet.
