It’s kind of funny that I was hemming and hawing about paying $45 for a new/close enough to it DualSense from that Amazon Warehouse Deals sale, but I leap at paying $75 for the cosmic red controller.

Got into the Sony Queue this afternoon with an 8 minute wait time. That only took about 5 minutes. They let me in and it was sold out.
While that was happening, in another window, I got the notification Walmart had it. I tried to order there and got to the final checkout screen multiple times, only to have it sell out before it went through. Seriously, fuck the bots. |

Theyre back on Direct as of 515 pm est but the wait is an hour.

That damn thing gave me at least 10 different robot check scenarios before it finally let me in.

Yep, I got in on the second rounds for both Walmart and PS Direct. The former once again timed out every time I tried to checkout and the latter had me wait ~30 minutes and then let me in to view a sold out page. Just absurd. They should just take preorders and fulfill them as they can, canceling any identifiable duplicates.

Decided to give the PS5 a new look a few weeks ago. Right around the time you guys were ripping Deftones for his, so eff it... painted gunmetal gray and blue carbon fiber vinyl. Not sure if I'm completely finished(need something decorative on the top plate), but it's good enough for now... and it matches the decor.

i thought I had one the other day in Sony Direct...got in queue...counted down pretty fast...got 'Being redirected to site you were before...you have 10 minutes"....then just hung there; never went....I was ticked....

That looks amazing. I wish game companies would license out third parties to make shells like this for their consoles. I seem to recall systems like the 3DO got multiple versions from different manufacturers so it's not unheard of.

That shell would likely cost at least half as much as the console itself when you are talking about materials needed and man hours. Still be cool to have.

Almost had one this morning, Best Buy had a re-stock and it was actually in my cart but I couldn't get it to load the cart page to checkout.

Holy shit, I think I just joined the club. On a whim, I just checked the page on Target’s site and it showed available for pickup. The two stores closest to me were out, but one a couple miles out of my way had it and the order went through. The usual Twitter accounts haven’t tweeted about a Target restock yet, so if you’re still trying, this might be your chance.

Nice! Yeah it's usually 7:40 AM Eastern with Target, I missed it by a minute (I tried local, then 32 miles away and neither worked despite both having 4 in stock)

Just got my pickup confirmation, so I’ll be picking it up on my way home tonight. I went ahead and ordered Demon’s Souls and Spider-man Remastered/Miles Morales since both are $10 off this week. I just started Resident Evil Village last night on my Series X, so I’ll have to decide whether to keep going with that or shelve it and play with the shiny new toy. Either way, I’m definitely the most excited for the new Ratchet & Clank in two weeks.

Horizon: Forbidden West is targeting a holiday release: For Horizon, we think we are on track to release this holiday season. And for God of War, the project started a little later. So we’ve made the decision to push that game out to next year, to ensure that Santa Monica Studio can deliver the amazing God of War game that we all want to play. Where it makes sense to develop a title for both PS4 and PS5 — for Horizon Forbidden West, the next God of War, GT7 — we’ll continue looking at that. And if PS4 owners want to play that game, then they can. If they want to go on and play the PS5 version, that game will be there for them. |

I played one of the free PlayStation Plus games, Operation: Tango, yesterday with a friend and it was really fun. I highly recommend it. Your friend doesn't even need to own the game. They just have to download the demo and you just need to select play with code and send them the generated code to play.
