It works fine on the PS4 but the PS5 often crashes before the world is even finished loading. Otherwise it crashes very shortly after moving around. It's totally unplayable for me. That is in contrast to MM where I can play for a while before experiencing a crash, so it's at least playable but it's super-frustrating to be almost done with a mission and then get a crash. At least it auto-saves frequently.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
Just finished Sackboy: A Big Adventure and you can definitely tell players have not been playing this very much because I unlocked trophies just through my normal playthrough that like 0.2 percentage of players have gotten.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
Does Sackboy still control like he does in the first couple games? The "floaty" controls turned me off to the series.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
Does anyone else's controller have a short battery life? After about three or four hours and it needs charging again. I might have to break down and buy the charging station.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
Haven’t timed it or anything, but mine seems to be about on par with the ds4.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
What’s the best controller charger to get?

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
Yeah, it's supposed to be about 150% of the DS4 battery life, but my results are about the same as the DS4. Not terrible but clearly in last place compared to the XBox one and something like the WiiU classic controller. (no idea on the Switch classic controller equivalent battery life).

No he's much less floaty in this game. No longer walking on the moon.

Does it still have physics based stuff falling down, levers, things like that? And the grabbing mechanic?

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
On another note my daughter and I started Bugsnax last night (the wife and other daughter watched). It's.... different. Kinda cute in a weird way. The characters are ugly as can be but the actual bug characters are pretty cute. Anyway, it took us far longer than I want to admit to catch a Bunger. It took so long we heard "Bunger, Bunger, Bunger" over and over again. So now it's a 'thing' in our house. So at random anyone will blurt out "Bunger!" Kinda funny.
*edit - oh, and way too much talking in this game. |
Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
Your controller battery life will also be affected by what game your playing and the amount of haptics the game uses. Playing something like Astro's Playground will obviously use up the battery faster.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
I managed to sell off my PS4 500 Million Limited Edition for $450 so not bad to only pay $50 to upgrade to the PS5.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
The collectables in Astro’s Playroom are reminding me that I have spent a shit-ton on Sony hardware and accessories over the years. I bet there were less than 10 of those things that I never bought.

I’m in the club as of today. The backup from PS4 was smooth, PS5 is ready to go. Excited for a new generation of games.

Double post here but :
Thanks to a weird quirk, the PS5-only disc version of Watch Dogs Legions is on sale for $29.99 AND also comes with a $10 Rewards Certificate because technically it’s a pre-order that comes out next week. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/watch-d...?skuId=6426009 |

No reason to need to have played WD 1 and 2, right?

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
I don’t know if everything in the PS Collection has been upgraded but my son wanted to try inFamous Second Son tonight. It looks AMAZING. Can’t believe it’s a six year old game. Very nice lighting and reflections and cool visual effects like heat distortion. That stuff has to be some sort of an update for the PS5.
Edit : Not everything in the PS+ Collection is upgraded for the PS5 but Second Son definitely is https://www.thesixthaxis.com/2020/11...on-ps5-sequel/ |
