So rumors floating around on pricing (got these from my daily update via Google so take with a grain of salt). Nothing seems ridiculous or odd but the headset is intriguing.

PS5 - $499 for regular version, $399 digital
Vertical Stand - $25
Remote - $30
PS5 Pulse 3D Wireless headset (VR??) - $160
HD Camera - $60
Controller - $60
Controller Charging Station - $30

If true, I knew they would charge us for the stand! I would pay 500 for the regular edition though, even without games to play or a TV that can take advantage of it, because I'm a sucker. Also would you need both the camera and headset for VR? Other than VR that PS4 camera is useless to me.

Yep, that's gotta be it... bummer, was hoping for some VR news. But 3D sound will be a nice upgrade next gen.

Is anyone getting worried that neither system may be released this year? It's a day and a half from being July 1st and still no date, price or pre-order info from Sony or Microsoft.

Even if they are released I expect them to trickle out slower than even previous launches, so I wouldn't necessarily expect to be able to preorder one for launch (whenever that is).

I could see them being released in smaller numbers than usual (which would probably work to MS/Sony's benefit!), but I do think they'll both come out before the end of the year. I'm assuming they're both playing Chicken. No one wants to announce their price (or, well, prices) first only for the other to undercut them. There might be similar concerns about the date, but I guess there's not much point in announcing the specific release date if there's not a price.

I agree with Adam... it'll be super critical to get them out this year mostly because you wanna be first to market but you can't blink on price because I could easily see one under-cutting the other by $25, heck, $10.

I posted this in the 2k thread because it pertains there, but this article came out saying that the next gen versions of NBA 2k are going to be 70 bucks:

Shit. Bullshit price increase for "enhanced" versions on next gen.

I kind of figured that next gen games would get a price increase. The have been 60 bucks for a long time. The price increase means I won't be buying as many games as I normally do.

The worst part is that it starts with this game, which may be the most microtransaction heavy game of all.

Do we have confirmation the disc version will play UHD 4K discs? If so, that would be worth it to me. We have a 4K TV downstairs but I haven't gone ahead and picked up a 4K player yet.

Nice, thank you. This is closer to a purchase for me this year, though I'm known to wait a year at least on these. A lot cak still happen in 2020 when it comes to economy and saving for me.

I gotta be honest, that rumored $500 is a solid price for what you get. It may not be widely adopted at the price, but it's very fair.

That graphics card would place it above the RTX 2070 Super (which is what I have) and is more or less in line with an RTX 2080 which alone is like $700.

I sure hope so. I have had $300 bucks tucked away for a pre-order deposit since last fall. It's starting to burn a hole in my pocket.

I do wonder if they're targeting 4k at whatever fps or 1440p at 60fps for this upcoming gen.

When I decided to go with the PS4 over Xbox One (came from 360), one game was a must on my list...inFamous: Second Son...which was really fun and impressive....

Not related to the console directed...but seems Sucker Punch has renewed the site...inFamoustheGame.com ...https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2020..._revival_hopes
