SimCity NES Prototype discovered

Two prototype cartridges of the unreleased NES version of SimCity have been discovered, and the ROM has been dumped from the cartridge. This version is unfinished, but gives some interesting insight into the design process that eventually led to the SNES version.

This is a really insightful in-depth article about this find:

I heard about this a while ago actually. A podcast I listen to (Completely Unnecessary Podcast) covered it a couple times I believe. Kinda cool.

Re: SimCity NES Prototype discovered

Yeah, the prototype cartridges were discovered in 2017, but I believe this is the first time that the ROM, screencaps, gameplay videos, etc. have been released for it.

The NES version also has an almost completely unique soundtrack, with only one song used in the SNES version.
