What Are You Playing? (December 2018)

Slowly chipping away at this game. Most of my play sessions start by doing a mission and then exploring the world and playing poker lol

Going to work my way through Origins before starting Odyssey.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2018)

I'm playing AC Odyssey with a little bit of RDR2 and Mad Max sprinkled in between. All on the PS4.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2018)

Just finished yesterday
  • Star Wars: Battlefront II / Resurrection (Xbox One X)

Still playing
  • Overcooked (XB1X)
  • Spider-Man (PS4 Pro; well, I will when the final round of DLC drops)

Current backlog
  • Destiny 2 (XB1X)
  • Assassin's Creed: Odyssey (XB1X)
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider (XB1X)
  • Golf Story (Switch)

On my Christmas List
  • Just Cause 4 (XB1X)
  • Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (XB1X)
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Switch)
  • Overcooked 2 (XB1X)

So, uh, some combination of those. I'm pretty sure Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be the next game I pick up solo. My wife and I are about 70% of the way through Overcooked, and we're determined to get 3 stars on every level.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2018)

Finally beat Battle Chasers 100% (did the full bestiary, fish bestiary, all side quests, and all ultimate weapons). I started the New Game+ but after a few hours I decided to move on to another game and come back to it later.

So now I've started playing EARTHLOCK. Not really caring about it much thus far, so may get bored and temporarily move on to either The Legend of Heroes: Cold Steel or Dragon Quest XI, or one of the Kingdom Hearts side-games in order to get them out of the way in time for Kingdom Hearts 3.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2018)

I'm working on Shadow Of The Tomb Raider right now. I'm about a third of the way through that one. After that I'll likely be done with single player games for the year. Playing through AC: Odyssey and Red Dead Redemption 2 back to back really burned me out.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2018)

I started playing Chrono Cross (for PS One) back in September. Don't play every day but I try to get some time in on my days off. I'm enjoying the hell out of this game! I'm almost to disc 2, getting some new characters and tech before I move on to disc 2. I may start this game over from scratch when/if I finish it...

Chrono Trigger was engaging/enjoyable, Chrono Cross is a treat! Loving the music too!

Dante's Inferno 360 ...just finished it and now playing on Hardest Level. This is a prime example of how letting you play through a game again with all your level ups/Items makes some games worth replaying several times. This should be standard on all games.

Assassin' Creed 360
Dead Space 3 360

Slowly working my way through Red Dead Redemption 2 still.

And as mentioned in the PC thread, messing around with Return of the Obra Dinn.

Obra Dinn is so goood.

I'm almost finally done moving in to our new house so I'll finally get to be back on my normal gaming schedule. I'm still chipping away at DQXI. Maybe I'll have that finished by the end of the year. 70 or so hours in and I have no read on whether I'm getting near the end or not.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2018)

Only one videogame Ive been playing this month and I just beat it late last night.

Fire Emblem Echoes. Pretty good game and my first time playing and finishing a Fire Emblem game.

Story was pretty good but it kind of felt like a Final Fantasy game almost

So I was near the end and finished it this morning. It looks like there is a ton of postgame stuff to do but I'll hold off on starting that until next month. Still a few games I'd like to get to before the year is over.

A) I really need to play Return Of The Obra Dinn. I've heard nothing but great things.

B) Yeah, that's a typical Dragon Quest problem. I haven't started XI yet but I felt the same way when I was in the middle of VI & VII. Great games but it's so hard to tell where you are at momentum wise due to the grind haha.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2018)

After playing Bayonetta 2 on and off all year, I finally finished it yesterday. So one more Wii U game checked off!

Still playing through Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I hope to have that finished this month.

The new Forza Horizon expansion comes out soon, so I'll probably dip my toe in that next.

Re: What Are You Playing? (December 2018)

Powered through Celeste in a handful of nights. Damn, what a challenging (but fair) game, and with an interesting story on top of it. I can totally see why it's so well-loved. I'm not sure that I'll play through the extra bits, but I am interested in revisiting some of the level so I can unlock The Core, whatever that is.

Started Below but I think I'm over it. Luckily it was free with Game Pass. I just can't get into games that require crafting on top of more crafting. Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong. I love the atmosphere and the score, though. Even the fighting game play is fine, if not as precise as it could have been.

I'm half way through Night in the Woods (just finished Part 2). I love the humor in this one, and has some vaguely similar themes as Celeste. Hoping to get through the rest before Christmas.

Wasn't feeling Earthlock so put it on hold for a while to play some other games.

Started playing DmC and The Legend of Heroes: Cold Steel.

It's much better than DMC4 in my opinion, but I'm only on the 3rd Mission now.

QUBE2 that I got from XBOX Gold.

It's a pretty cool game.

Never played the first iteration.
