I've been following this since it was announced plus I'm a fan of Sucker Punch which everything they do is good. Nice to see more gameplay which was different from the trailer we saw. The colors, land, combat and no doubt will have a compelling story.

An interesting read on the game and more details about over at DualShockers.....

It was a total surprise to me and a likely purchase. Looks damn good.

So that's like... FOUR new samurai games that were announced in the last two days? Damn, son.
They all look great, too. I'm hoping they all do well enough, but it'll be some tough competition.

I'm remembering the From Software one, but what were the other two?

Yeah, it wasn't Yakuza... this is going to bug me now I'm sure there was another one... and I'm pretty sure it was a new title, not a sequel.

Ghost of Tsushima Will Have Photo Mode

http://scifiace.com/2018/06/14/yes-t...-a-photo-mode/

We got our first look at Ghost of Tsushima gameplay this week, and one of our main takeaways was that it looks absolutely stunning – easily one of the best looking games on the PS4. It looked so good that we were disappointed to learn that the UI will be far more cluttered in the final game.
Thankfully, there will be a way to perfectly capture those intense moments and stunning horizons – developer Sucker Punch is, after all, one of the pioneers of the ‘photo mode’.

Talking to US Gamer, company co-founder Brian Fleming promised that Ghost of Tsushima will indeed have a photo mode. “We invented Photo Mode! Second Son, man”, he reportedly said, referencing early PS4 title Infamous: Second Son.

Interesting article and can see the pull on playing it especially for fans of old Samurai Style Movies....

Fans Want to Play Ghost of Tsushima in Black and White

...and considering Sucker Punch basically invented Photo Mode....wouldn't doubt they'll do it.

Better more Samurai games then more 3rd person survival games? Looking forward to this, it looks gorgeous to me.

That's badass. I'd totally play in Black and White. Bring it on Sucker Punch!

Yea...I didn't even think about it because the color palette of the demo was just outstanding. But when I saw the article, my first thought was the Seven Samurai from 1954 and The Blind Masseur Zatoichi. Most of the comments were positive and said maybe open that up as a Second Playthru after completing the first. But that would be awesome.....They've already said Photo Mode will be in it and I'm sure it'll have various filters.

At this point I'd rather see this as a killer PS5 launch title.

Yep, or a launch window title like Infamous Second Son was.

re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

The extra footage lived up to the hype....this game will be beyond awesome and probably one of the best looking...along with The Last of Us part 2 and Dying Light 2 which both are scheduled for the first half of 2020....for the consoles. Being a Summer release with the PS5 around the corner, they have probably spent the extra time making sure this will use the PS5 power for a extra benefit.
