I'm tempted to get this even though i'm not a big RE fan, only playing a few of them sporadically over the years.

I imagine this will be $15 to $20 during Black Friday, I'll pick it up then. That should give me enough time to play through the first one. I'm glad to see all the positive reviews though since I haven't played it since PS1.

I might pick this up when it's on sale. I have the Nintendo 64 version and I hated it. The controls were terrible. I made it about five minutes in before giving up due to not being able to control the character.

oh boy. can't wait. seems a mix of RE7 and RE4 which i both loved...

Picked up my pre-ordered copy from BestBuy today for PS4. It said I was suppose to get two exclusive weapons for preordering from Bestbuy but I apparently didn't. Don't see any mention of them anywhere.
I didn't bother with spending $10 more for the Deluxe. I don't care about alternate costumes... so the only thing that interested me was possibly replaying later with the "classic soundtrack".

Looks amazing, feels much different than I expected. Only played a little today as Leon, and he just moves very slowly. Even when you make him run, he only moves slightly faster than what you'd expect him to be during walking. They definitely wanted to make it less actiony and slower paced.

Zombies don't seem to want to go down. I head shot the first zombie in the gas station 7 times and he was still moving. With one bullet left I had to just run past everything instead of trying to fight. So much more reminiscent of older RE where you had to be sparing with ammo and not just kill everything that moves.

The preorder code gets emailed to you. I got mine on Wednesday when the copy shipped.

DE also gives you season pass, I believe. I got one with upcoming dlc, digital, of course...

There is no season pass. The deluxe edition just gives you costumes, a weapon, and a soundtrack swap.

Put in two hours so far. Really having a blast. I noticed a few things moved around and or removed. Was a little bothered at first but now things are more of a surprise making moments more interesting .

what's the play style akin to? kinda like RE7 atmosphere mixed with RE4 movement?

I remember pretty much nothing in RE2 even though it was one of my favorites. I'm about 6 hours in and it feels all new to me.

If you picked up a Steelbook, consider yourself lucky. They're all over $30, mostly over $40 on eBay. Wish I'd ordered a second one.

Just finished my playthrough as Claire. They did a fantastic job with this remake. My only dislike is the when you get to a certain point in the police station.

I finished the entire game as Claire but to get the true ending you have to play through with both characters. My playthrough was 7 and a half hours.

Yeah, I don't think they could expand it out much longer. The original was like 5.5 hours.
