Watched some of the actual action....it was Mad Max (newest movie) + Fallout 4 + Borderlands + a touch of Bulletstorm + a pinch of crack = Rage 2

I didn't know this but a story over at Pushsquare stated that Rage 2 will be SP/Solo only...not even co-op. They said ID is focused on creating the best single player experience. I wonder if they can leave the door open to adding it but they also said Avalanche Studio has yet to make a MP game. Maybe not 4-player but this would be a blast with 2-player at least.

I enjoyed the first one quite a bit. I'm kind of surprised there's a sequel, since I don't recall the first one being super popular, but maybe I just missed the boat.

Thanks again for another trailer post....between Rage 2 and Doom Eternal, Bethesda is bringing back "Real Fun" into gaming again. I like the Fallout and Elder Scrolls they do but Rage 2 and Doom sort of put the Nitro in a bit more; or at least based on the trailers. Bethesda has become one of if not my favorite DEV....they are cranking out some serious worlds & gameplay....and today more on Fallout 76 and I cannot wait on that; that one I'm in for sure.

...and someone saw in about 1.5 seconds of the gameplay that there will be "Flying Vehicles"...and it's already been confirmed players will have three vehicles that are their own; Bike, Car and Flying One that they can customize and envolve.

I'll give it a shot! I didn't like the first one, there was just something missing ("fun"), but I'm happy to hear a focus on SP.
K&AJones's math of "Mad Max (newest movie) + Fallout 4 + Borderlands + a touch of Bulletstorm + a pinch of crack = Rage 2" sounds perfect to me.

that looked fucking awesome. much better than 1. could never get past car challenges and gave up. this looked less emphasis, i hope and more open world FPS. is 1 BC?

Sucks that this doesn't have a co-op mode. I would have loved to play it with my BFF. We played the entirety of FC5 together (as well as all three Borderlands games) and really enjoyed it.

any early buzz or word on this? i admit i purchased it bc it looks FPS batshit insane, but i did start and was liking first, but never got past the first driving timed mission or whatever. perhaps this is lessened. i want something fun, like Bulletstorm, which this reminds me of after i finish Borderlands 1 again...

I've downgraded my pre-order from the Deluxe Edition to the Regular. Don't need the extras if the game isn't that great, for $38 after RZ certificate I still am willing to give it a go. Though maybe I will just get it later or rent it instead

If you have a digital copy preordered, you should probably cancel now if you're worried. It's not like you will miss out on anything too major by cancelling, just a few minor bonuses.

only 75% with 1 review for PS4, but sounds better and mostly optimistic, with biggest complaint being repetitiveness, just not liking the driving all around and racing part...

After reading both...and others...the consensus is awesome gameplay with guns and action, mechanics are fluid and fun....just everything around it is uninspiring, gets dull, short story (8-10 hours), lack of quest and sides....

Well...you are correct but as in the Games Radar Review, there's the ..."Where's the Side Missions?".....and after reading it, it appears you have these Towns/Bar areas where there's no-one to talk to nor hand out quests. A lot of games will have the Main Story but along the way you get branches off with side stuff, bounties, mini-quests and mini-missions...it doesn't sound like that's the case here or it's not nearly enough.

However....I saw this saying the Campaign/story will take around 10-12 hours on Normal, there's eight missions which you need to get to Level 5 with each of the Three Factions and can get the XP doing a lot of side stuff. I'm leaning towards not getting this now. I just started on DMC5 and love that, and playing Division 2 with my best friend. Just feels like this is something I can wait on for now and pick up cheap on Black Friday.

Give me a 30 hour Platinum with a varied map to explore and I'm in. Sounds better than the grind of clearing out everything in each region of Ghost Recon Wildlands. While that is a fun game, doing the same sort of thing in each area became tedious.

I was going to get this after the cool trailer but now it’s starting to remind me of the first game. The only thing I remember about that is Jesse playing it with a gun (which wasn’t possible) in Breaking Bad. I’ll wait til it’s $20.

this got an 80 here, but sounds like the reviewer liked very much and sounds perfect for me. i don't need deep. new DOOM certainly wasn't. this sounds like that more amped. i hope to finsh B1 today and start this tomorrow...
