Eh, not worth the hassle. Will stick with my rPi for another year. Somebody rip Starfox 2 for me.

This preorder may be a worse disaster than the NES classic.

Gamestop is out of commission too.

Oh boy, get ready for this to hit Ebay at $200-300 a pop.

Funny, I also signed up for the In stock alert at Walmart, that was fucking useless. They sent it to me at 10:06am when they were long gone.

Screw this, if it's going to be this much of a chore, I'm not going to bother. Something like this should not be limited in stock or production to make people go out of their way to get it.

Yeah, fuck this. This is the one of the main reasons I also refuse to get a Switch, I'm not going to support Nintendo and their bullshit. I would rather use my money to support Sony or Microsoft.

Funny that the Switch is substantially easier to buy than their classic systems.

Nintendo needs to make more than 2.5 million units this time (# the NES Mini sold)

Yeah, lesson learned but for any of these kind of items the stock alerts are useless. The items sell out in minutes and that's not nearly enough time for stock alerts to work properly.

I just bought a GPD XD portable console from overseas a week or so ago after seeing a YouTube demo. Looks like it has most if not all retro consoles in it including the SNES.

It got mostly stellar reviews. It should arrive any day now. I paid roughly $130 for it with a case. I think that should save me grief from this disaster.

Target wiped my cart on me like Walmart and my work blocks Gamestop.

GG Nintendo...30 years later and you still can't handle a product launch.

Same here. Bastards. I had it in my cart and the page was loading and got stuck on wanting me to update my shipping address.

The only thing holding me back on this is lack of bluetooth. I would like to be able to plug it into my TV and play from my couch. It says it supports wireless controllers but I am not sure how. Can you post a personal review when you get it?

USB OTG Dongle + Wireless Adapter for the controller. I don't think you can have it charging while playing with a wireless controller. Or maybe you can if you have a USB hub, not sure.

Either way here's this:

Exactly. I love the Mario and Zelda franchises but I refuse to give Nintendo any money as a result of this ridiculously difficult process they have decided upon to get their products out. Artificially inflating demand by under stocking products is a joke.

I did all of that. All I had to do at checkout was punch in my 3-digit security number thing. Still didn't give enough time

To be fair, they definitely didn't understock on the Wii U or Switch. I don't know what their gameplan is with the NES or SNES classics though, seems dumb.

Sure. But they have a history of this shit with their products. Long running issue. No more support from me.

I think I'm just going to pick this up when it comes out. It looks easy enough to load games on it too, which is what I'm looking for.

I hope nothing but the worst for the fuckers who put this on Ebay for 2 to 3 times the cost. I hope those dickheads will be stuck with unsold product.

Sure, I'll also check how many SNES games there are. Definitely more than the 21 on this device.

Most retailer websites aren't. The cart isn't a reservation system and doesn't actually hold stock, it's just a place you can add stuff while you continue to shop. It isn't intended for situations like this. Most of the time it works fine because 99% of the stuff that they sell doesn't have this kind of demand, and that's apparently good enough for them.

They also probably don't want people holding things in their cart that they don't actually plan on buying. They could probably add a timer system to it, but they don't really care enough to do so.

I get that they can't keep items in a cart indefinitely but if it lets you add an item it should give you at least a couple minutes or so to fill out the needed information.

Look like I'm going to have to come to Best Buy real early and stand in line and hopefully grab one. I was the last one to get the Classic NES console. Fuck Nintendo on this and fuck all those Ebay sellers when they get their greedy palm on this, they're never going to get my money.
