By the time the Nintendo Switch classic comes out, Nintendo will have this shit down and things will be orderly.

Seems like all the retailers are expected to go up this morning around the same time, so might be worth having links up for multiple retailers.

Well, that didn't go well. Refreshed Walmart...Preorder! By the time I entered my shipping info and CC #, it was already sold out and i couldn't complete the order.

If only the had a PP option so I didn't have to type in a CC #...

Well shit - I hit refresh until it popped up, I got the preorder item in the cart, made it to check out, confirmed my card and it said item was out of stock.

Edit : looks like I wasn't the only one
No biggie. I want the Xbox One X more.

Well shit. I was at Walmart's site and it was showing as able to pre-order. I was signed in and going through the checkout but it went unavailable during the middle of it. I think it's shitty when pre-ordering something that that you don't have more time to secure your order and it can go out of stock during checkout.

Yeah, same here. Oh well...probably never would have used the thing; just wanted it for collection/nostalgia. I hope whoever stole the one in my cart makes good use of it!

Also...why the hell isn't Walmart set up to reserve stock once it's in your cart??

Right? Such a bullshit move. At least give a person a couple minutes to complete checkout.

You have got to be ready to go, logged in account and credit card info preloaded. Only way to get in fast enough.

I got one but I don't trust Walmart. I hope to have multiple preorders. Ideally I would like to have two, one to hack and the other not to hack (in case I brick the first). If I end up with three or more, I have plenty of friends who will be glad to buy it off me.

But this is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to rely on RNG to get one of these.

A better question is why aren't there so many of these things that you can find them in Big Lots five months after Christmas. The demand is there. Doesn't Nintendo like money? It's plastic and flash memory. They could make 50M of these if they wanted to.

I was logged in and ready. No way I'm saving my CC # with Walmart though. Had the card in front of me; was hoping for a Paypal option.

Gamestop site is getting hammered as they are rumored to be the next place to open preorders.

I am not worried about having my CC info stolen. I just tell the CC company it's not me that authorized and that's it.

I dont get why I cant just sign up and then they send it when they're ready. Even if its a few weeks after launch. Just put me on a list, send it when you get to my name, charge me and ship it to me.

Same here, credit card companies have gotten pretty good about fraud stuff. I'd worry if i only had a debit card, but i've dealt with fraudulent charges through them and is was pretty painless.

But yeah, Nintendo (and retailers) still seem to never get these big ticket item releases handled well.

Keeping an eye on Target and other retailers today, I'll try and post if I hear anything There was a rumor that all retailers would go up this morning, guess that didn't happen.

I think I'd trust Best Buy more than GameStop. Either them or Target will be my next places to try.
