Agreed on the loot bags. And there have been a few times where music kicks in during a cutscene and is much louder to where you can't make out what the characters are saying.
But all in all minor complaints for me, the game is othewise incredible.

Absolutely. They're all different in their own way, loosely related but also stand alone. I'd say go for it (although I will say I LOVE Far Cry games, and while AC is very open world, I don't automatically think of FC when I play it). Both excellent, but just sayin'.

I probably will as well. I saw that it was being sold in a bundle with new Xbox One S, so I'm hoping the codes will be for sale cheap at CDKeys like the AC Unity codes were a few years ago.

I finished this up tonight...easily one of the best games of the year...and one of the best Creed games.

I have spent a few hours playing this and i am really enjoying it a lot. I loved Black Flag and Syndicate and this is more of the same. I am glad that they spent time polishing this and making sure its not buggy out of the gate. Love the environment, the fighting is fun, having fun with the missions and just having a blast all round.

Wow how many total hours to beat it?
I don’t get why some of these guards or bandits are so hard to kill (as well as some animals) and I die in 2-3 hits

This is one of those games where the main quest will probably be done in 15-20 hours. To finish up everything will take signifiantly longer.
And as for the tough enemies, if you look at the map you can see that each area shows the level of any you will face in that zone. I went experienced the same thing when i started playing, but it quickly dawned on me.
Oh, and i do love those Bounty Hunters in the game. Adds another element that keeps you on your toes.
And this game is really gorgeous to look at.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Origins - 10/27/17
Is anyone else having issues with the HDR setting being greyed out on Xbox One X? I have checked my system settings and I have everything checked including 4K. The only one not checked is the setting below that which is for Ycc 4:4. I have tried having that both checked and unchecked.
My TV is the LG OLED55C7P and I have tried both game mode and HDR mode. This make no difference either.
I believe I have the 4K assets downloaded, the game updated when I installed it on Tuesday. The file is 48. something GB
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. This game is still awesome

Do they stalk you like they did in Rogue? I thought that was one of the best new additions to AC and they never used it again

This bounty hunter says suck. I also don’t get how some level 2-3 animals can kill you so quickly but take hardly ant damage. Maybe I’m using the wrong weapons. Lol

No you can see them on the map. Just avoid them and they will never come after you. I killed the level 20 dude by shooting him with arrows from way up high. It took him a few minutes to find me, then when he was low on energy I did a jump attack and killed him with a few swings of my sword.

Are you leveling up your breastplate gear which increases your health?
Other pieces of gear (left and right bracers) affect your melee and bow damage, and your hidden blade damage.

This thread has pretty much nailed it. The comparisons to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and GR: Wildlands are appropriate. Egypt is the best thing the team has created since AC2 and might be the second best open world ever created.
That being said, the story is practically non-existent and the combat still blows. Plus, the AI is somehow more exploitable than ever (even on Hard). Still, highly recommended. Even at full price.

Bring on an Aztec Empire game during their zenith and through the conquest. You could play an Aztec warrior and the game could take place over a period of time.

Ha ha I meant they suck. They kill me every time I try to go to my next mission which is way out in no mans land.
I guess I’ll try and stay local a while and build up everything a little more

Maybe I should start over. I’m trying to kill a captain in a Roman watch tower and the guards are killing me with one or two arrows and that’s it. When I use a heavy melee it knows 10-25 points off and that’s it.

What level are you and what level are the guards? Do you have your hidden blade yet? If not then go do the main quest in Alexandria to get it. Then be stealthy when invading a camp. It's possible to take out entire camps without getting into a big battle.

Dumb question, but... is it really necessary to play through ALL the AC games to play this? I've played the first 3 or 4... and started one of the newer ones... the one with boats, I think.
