They are including the Drew League here? That's kinda cool. I also wish they became competition again cause 2K has been coasting for the past 3 years and haven't improved their game at all.

I'll disagree with that. I think it was two years ago they drastically overhauled and improved their post game, then last year it was addition by subtraction without that Spike Lee garbage. My main issue with 2k is their increasing reliance on microtransactions but EA is probably worse with that.

It was never released. They changed it from a console release to a NBA LIVE Mobile game you can play on your phone or tablet.

NBA LIVE 18 Companion App Now is Available.

The NBA LIVE Companion App (v2.0) is now available on both iOS and Android. The app will allow users to scan their face for use in NBA LIVE 18's single-player mode, The One.

The app adds in a skin color slider setting for users, but lacks the ability to add in hairstyles and does not have a viewable 3D version of the final scan as were in the previous app (v1.0 for NBA LIVE 16). As in 16, users can enter player name and select college, hometown, state, and uniform number.

I haven't bought a sports game in 10 plus years but I'm a big fan of the WNBA and to support them for putting them in the game I already pre-ordered it.

The $39.99 price point, WNBA, and a shirts vs skins mode (okay, made that up) might be enough to get the game if the reviews are decent.

I'm always going to go with 2K, but I have picked up Live every other season.

I might actually do it for this incarnation for the WNBA angle. I wonder if you're able to play a full WNBA season with playoffs, championship etc.

The NBA LIVE 18 Demo is out now. I'm downloading it as we speak.

I'll at least give that a try.

I didn't realize they lowered the price to 40 bucks if you preorder, so like 32 bucks with GCU or if amazon lists it. But I doubt even that will sway me, considering how much I play 2K and how quickly sports games drop in price.

How's the demo? I saw the Forbes review, and it seems like there are still way too many flaws for me to make a switch, even for a year.

I believe Best Buy is also throwing in a $10 gift card. So at the end of the day, it's barely breaking $20. Reminds me of the old NFL 2K days.

Now that is tempting. Argh. I guess I'll download the demo.
