Yeah, supposedly you can get a sparrow from a drop, although it's uncommon. I finally got one to drop after I got my Target one.

Yeah, Superman's right. I only just touched down on IO, and before even getting to the first mission on the planet, I was given a sparrow.

Grinding to Level 20 on my alts has been painless. For both of my alts I didn't even do a single mission. When I hit EDZ, I just sparrowed my way throughout the map doing heroic public events which net about 3000+ exp per event and before I knew it I was level 20. It is faster and easier than grinding through the campaign mode. I also saved up my EDZ coins cashed them out for my alts, and now both have power levels in the 270s.

And when I finally did start campaign mode the drops were at my level which was nice.

I do wonder if Bungie will put a buff on the public events. Farming loot in public events is more efficient than doing strikes that can take time.

After hitting level 20, I noticed the power levels of loot wasn't nearly as generous as before I hit 20.

I hit 20 Last night and we now have the final "Assault Mission" the only thing left. We did a bunch of Public Events in leveling but I do like the story and thought Bungie did emphaize it more this time around. Now to Adventure, Strikes, Public Events and whatever else

And the friend I'm playing with already has one character at 20 and he said the same thing about the drops and loot were as he said, "little by little and step by step" moving up.

And I wouldn't doubt Bungie will "patch"...Nerf...the ability to bypass the campaign spamming Public Events and then run the campaign. They sure as heck didn't intend on everyone playing it that way and they did a fair share of meddling (fixing as they say) in the first Destiny.

Do public events, flashpoints, strikes, etc. You should get plenty of legendary drops that you can breakdown. Break down any legendary gear/weapons you have doubles of.

I have 300+.

I got a legendary sub-machine gun, that's not too great (even at a high power, it doesn't do much damage and it's aim is crap), but it reloads on it's own, and basically never runs out of ammo and doesn't need to reload. If I run into something more useful, I might break that down for it's shard.

Subs are really good for dealing with enemies at point blank range. Other than that I'm not a huge fan.

My favorite guns to use are scout-rifles. If I find a good legendary scout-rifle, I'll just hold on to that forever, like I did in D1.

Yeah, I use submachine guns to spam when my primary runs out of ammo but the dudes are right on me.

I prefer auto and then pulse rifles. I hate pulling the trigger for every scout rifle shot.

Yesss. For PvE, this is my go-to kinetic with the MIDA as my elemental.

For Crucible, which, despite all expectations going into D2, is really fun, I run with an auto and the MIDA. Plus a shotgun, which just wrecks shit at close range.

I found Xur, but I didn't have the sharts he wanted.

no boons but mercy is also built in and you only need to go 7-0 not 9-0 for flawless .... wash plus shorter time investment needed (including not having to waste time picking up cards)
no level advantage is more of an even playing field
Countdown is this week's activity not every week
locked loadouts is good

no major issues with these changes IMO
