I picked up the digital Remastered version the other day and now I find out it'll be half off next week during the Days of Play sale. D'oh.

Sony's State of Play was yesterday highlighting The last of Us Pt 2 with more details on gameplay and the locations and environments which are stunning. The last 8 minutes is never before seen actual gameplay from one area...don't care to watch just avoid the last 8 minutes.

Sony just released a TV Spot Trailer.....UPDATE...guess Sony took this down with the fact someone claiming the song was stolen...can't find this TV Spot anywhere up now.

Finished up my first time through the original over the weekend. Not quite the masterpiece I was expecting but still a great game/experience. Pre ordered 2 right after finishing.

For those who have gone through it, is that side story available on the Remaster of 1 worth playing through?

I liked Left Behind far more than I liked the main game and I thought the main game was really good.

Left Behind is very light on gameplay but it does a really nice and touching job fleshing out Ellie’s backstory.

The gameplay in The Last of Us is easily its weakest part so that's probably why I preferred it.

That's the one thing I really hope 2 improves on. The first was beautiful but it was obvious it was a PS3 game redone with the clunky means of interacting with things. It needs to be way more fluid.

Random question and it's easier to post here than bump the thread for the first game.

A few times through the game (and Left Behind) I was prompted to shake my controller. When I did, I'd hear a noise come out of the controller speaker but I saw nothing happening on screen. What exactly was that for?

Recharging your flashlight. It'll start to flicker after a certain amount of time until you shake the controller.

Thank you! I don't recall that ever being mentioned and I never saw an animation of them shaking the flashlight or anything.

This is turning into a day one purchase. I did not find the Gamespot review particularly helpful re "the horrors of combat and violence."

Man the PS4 has had some truly remarkable first and second-party exclusives this generation - God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Marvel's Spider-Man, this apparently.

Weird there's still not a single Collector's Edition unboxing up on You Tube. You would think somebody would have gotten a copy by now.

Review written by someone who looks like a 17 year girl.....no doubt she let her personal feelings toward "Gruesome unneeded violence" determine her score....the comments on her Review blasted her and Gamespot for it....as noted she didn't say a word about the visuals and audio.

I don't think Gamespot likes this type of game...or just doesn't want to give TLoU a high score....they gave a 8 of 10 to the original one and The Remastered for PS4

On a brighter side of things...one feature Naughty Dog put in and emphasized a lot in The Last of Us Part 2 was Accessibility Options...like able to listen to the entire game in Audio Only....very heartwarming article hear and major kudos to Naughty Dog for putting these in.....
