I saw a decent amount at my Target too. I think they had two with the grey Joy Cons and two with the blue and red Joy Cons.

Seems like everyone else bought a pro controller, but personally I only bought a case since I knew I was going to travel with it. I bought a 128 GB SD card later on just because it was on sale, but I don't think it's a must have right away unless you're going all digital.

The Joy-Con's are comfortable for me so i've been fine using them as is.

More sales numbers!

2.74 million Switches shipped (so, basically sold in this case) through the end of March.
Breath of the Wild is at 2.76 million copies shipped on the Switch and 1.08 million on the Wii U through the end of March. Nintendo puts the attach rate above 90%, which isn't exactly in step with the >100% attach rate they were bragging about earlier.
Snipperclips has sold over 350K worldwide.
Super Bomberman R has shipped north of 500K.
1-2 Switch is nearing 1 million shipped.

Nintendo's targeting 10 million Switch units to be sold in the current financial year (so 10 million beyond the 2.74 million already out there) and 35 million additional pieces of software.

I'm fine with the Joy Cons too. I really don't see a need to own a pro controller. Maybe I'll grab one at some point but I honestly like the Joy Cons a lot more than I expected to. They're pretty comfortable whether you're using them attached to the tablet, holding them separately, or if they're in the grip.

The Joy-Cons are fine, but the Pro Controller is just really, really nice. And I had an issue aiming arrows on the Joy Cons.

In everything except Puyo Puyo Tetris, due to the fact it has a D-pad instead of direction buttons, it's way too easy to accidentally hit "up" in Tetris mode (fast drop).

Much to my own surprise, I also really like the joycons. The button placement is a little cramped for my liking, but I adapted pretty quickly and now have no problems with them.

Was thinking king of getting a pro controller for Mario Kart, but ill give the joycons a shot first and see how they do, plus I just don't want to drop 70 bucks right now. I'm sure I'll get one eventually.

Kind of upset with Amazon as I pre-ordered my copy of Mario Kart through them but I haven't gotten a shipping notice. It seems like the order is going to ship or has been shipped even though I didn't get the email but it won't arrive today. Thought that was part of the Prime pre-order deal.

Part of the reason I didn't want to rush and get a Pro Controller was that I knew I would be using it in portable mode a lot and didn't want to get so used to the Pro Controller that i'd feel compelled to bring it everywhere. For me, the Switch with the Joy-Cons is more comfortable to hold then the 3DS XL I have.

That sucks for you guys, mine shipped on Wednesday and it got delivered at home today. Won't Amazon usually credit you for missing release day shipping if you complain about it? Too lazy to go get it during my lunch break, but looking forward to playing it a bit this weekend.

"Eventually" meaning today, apparently. Got one when I picked up Mario Kart.

And, my Best Buy had at least 10 Switches out on display for sale -- both grey and neon.

I wonder if it's because I ordered late. I didn't order my copy until Tuesday night. I guess it's whatever since it's Mario Kart and not a game where I want to get into a story right away but I was looking forward to some weekend play. I can't be too mad with Amazon either since I almost always get my pre-orders on release day.

Mario Kart is the top selling videogame on amazon this year (in the category, it's behind some PSN cards and right ahead of Zelda).

Of course, WiiU Zelda is like 10, so I have no idea how that works.

Finally used the solo Joy Con for Mario Kart and it's honestly not bad at all, I have a little bit of an issue with the left trigger/bumper button but in general it's actually pretty easy to use.

It looks like Zelda is #4 and Mario Kart is #3.

For anyone playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe make sure to turn "Smart Steering" off (it's on by default). I went to try a shortcut I'm used to doing on original Mario Kart 8 and it wouldn't let me steer off the track.

Yeah, not sure why they defaulted it to the Mario Kart equivalent of bumper bowling. It's actually a good feature, but it should be mentioned from the start.

Ah, Breath of the Wild has a 90%+ attach rate worldwide, but the 102% attach rate is correct for the U.S.
