I was telling my wife this might be the master plan for someone to kill off everyone like Sam Jackson tried to do in Kingsmen.

Everyone is playing it. Everyone will be affected.

We met some people walking around the neighborhood. It's easy to see who plays.

Does anyone know why sometimes when trying to capture with a pokeball or great ball, sometimes when you throw it straight on, it has stars on it and veers off to the left or right? I know I'm not swiping in that direction it just flies off to the side. I've had it happen with and without giving them berries.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

I think its a form of defense they use. This happens to me alot when they are red or yellow. In this case I will throw a razjzberry to calm them down.

Does anyone know if raspberry effects stack?

I ended up using multiples last night on a Tauros I was trying to catch as he popped out of the pokeball at least 5-7 times. While I can't say they made him easier to catch they did seem to keep him from running away.

so I was on level 12 with all kinds of stuff and my kid went to settings and hit quick start thinking he could play by himself. Everything is now gone and I have nothing..is there a way to get it back?

I think throwing balls works like tablet and phone app bowling.
The ball will go straight only if you roll/throw straight. Any fluctuation will cause the ball to curve or spin to a side.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

If I throw a few that curve to the right, I try and compensate by starting my throw to the left side. It usually works.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

You can also "spin" the pokeball before you throw it to throw a curveball (which is worth additional XP if you capture the Pokémon)

The lack of servers or inability to manage the amount of hits this game is generating is ridiculous. I spend more time with "our servers are down we're humbled crap" than actually playing

Yeah, my wife said she hasn't been able to log in since 6am.

I've been playing daily since it came out and haven't had any issues logging in ever. I've had it freeze a couple times each night when we're out playing but I just restart it.

There have been issues preventing me from playing for large parts of the day EVERY day since I started. I kind of wish I had joined with my Google account because I suspect most of the problems stem from the trainers club. And when are they going to fix the damn radar?

Yeah I joined with my google account.

When you catch them I guess on the bottom shows the location? Mine doesn't show and I'm in and iPhone 6s. Any reason?

Oh and I logged in with google

I've been using my Google account and have had a a bunch of server issues, so I don't think the Trainer Club is to blame here.

The servers were down until like 7PM EST yesterday. I am assuming you play later at night so you may just be missing out on all the server downtime.

I guess it was just a matter of time.

A real-life dating site has created an app called PokéDates

Yes, you can now chase after those characters with a date!

Gotta catch 'em all, indeed.

I played it multiple times yesterday during the day as did a couple other people at my work. I caught 6 pokemon during my lunch and hit up multiple stops with no issues.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

Not sure if related but the Pokemon section of my local target was absolutely ransacked the other day (and they usually have a bunch of stock). Extremely smart to release this prior to Sun and moon even if there's only a residual affect. Plus all the money it's making them. That projection about this game making apple alone 3 billion over the next year is ridiculous.

I actually thought Nintendo got hosed making only that hardware peripheral (which isn't even out yet) but even that should sell like hot cakes at least early on.

Yeah, it died at like 2 or 3PM EST. I spun a pokestop, caught something and then dead.

I've barely played this week but my wife is into this more than I ever will be. She's so mad about that. She doesn't usually want anything to do with these sorts of things and now, boom, she's telling me all about her latest captures. She even called me on my way home from work to tell me there's a Pikachu lurking around our neighborhood, I should go get it.
