My guess is the more powerful Xbox one coming out maybe next year has ultra Blu ray capability.

Despite claims, I'm still skeptical. Even the latest GeForce 1080 on a high end gaming PC isn't able to hit 60 fps regularly in a lot of games at 4K, and the Neo and Scorpio would be weaker.

If that's the way we are moving then most developers should just develop 4K around the PC and port over.

Wonder how easy it would be for me to sell my Xbox 1 launch console.
For $299 and UHD BD, that is a crazy good deal.

I wouldn't hold my breath for 4K gaming on consoles for more than a small handful of games. Heck, look at how much VR is being touted as the next big thing.

Scorpio is still close to a year and a half away, and it's at a significantly higher price point than the base Slim. If the Slim is the new normal, I don't think the Scorpion announcement will be catastrophic. Not the best analogy, but plenty of people still buy standard Xbox One controllers even though the Elite is on the market. Big dip...yeah. Shot in the head...maybe, but I don't think it'll be that bad.
