FYI - The merger with SithHappens has fallen apart. CE has reconvened and we are considered the de facto "SH4" now.

If you want back in, just leave your SH guild and check in on LINE. We will invite you straightaway.

If you want to stay in SH, feel free! We are still associated so no big deal!

So SithHappens was the guild we merged with? That whole blow-up has been pretty baffling to me, but I think I'd prefer the old one.

Yessir. We are rebuilding Casual Elite if you want a more laid back way of life, but still happy crushing the toughest challenges.

I, for one, am glad you posted on here, because with my SH message count over 6000 unread, I've pretty much taken the stance that reading LINE isn't worth it. :lol: Ever since we've joined the group, as nice as they are, communication has been completely unmanageable.

I'm 100% with CE over SH any day.

What do you mean we're SH4?

SH4 was their non-heroic guild. I decided I couldn't stomach the inaction any longer. No one but old CE members seemed willing to swap into SH4 to help out.

So basically what I have done is forced that. Shattered SH2 and SH4 and rebuild CE 2.0 from it.

SH1 and SH3 should be able to recover and make SH2 heroic again as well.

In the end, everyone should be heroic much sooner than the path we were on.

Has anyone had issues getting on this game lately? I only casually play, but every since they dropped that new character last week(forgot it's name) I can not get past the "Checking for Updates or Loading Cantina" screen.

I don't blame them. Pin hit the nail on the head - this game is nothing more than a time and cash grab. They do nothing to prevent cheating and cater to whales. Mostly, it's just not that fun anymore. Pin is a really great guy and I personally thank him for all of his hard work.

EDIT: I see now and totally get it. Pinata and Univek are the reasons I joined and the guild is really the only reason I'm still in it. Honestly, I've been long contemplating ending my run, too, just because it's a DAILY commitment and you can never get ahead of the game. The moment you fully farm/gear/whatever the character you've been shooting toward, everything changes. And now more than ever it's tough to be a player who doesn't pay cash.

This is certainly giving me pause for thought. Pinata, your organization is what largely helped us succeed. I can't thank you enough for making this hand-down the best guild I've ever been a part of in any game. Maybe I should take this as a sign...

I'm not out yet. I buy the 100 crystal/day pack. I now just farm the characters I want, making the teams I want and don't chase meta. That has made the game more enjoyable. I will also say, playing droids has also made the game fun, and that's why I'm farming grievous.

This is a sad day though.

I thought all games were time and cash grabs, but I'm still new enough to it that I don't understand all the changes that are pushed through, nor do I understand three-quarters of the conversation that goes on in LINE. :lol: :(

I'll say this, the 10 days I was on vacation and had no internet so was forced not to play were a bit refreshing, but I was sucked right back in mainly because of CE. I'm still in as long as the majority of the guild sticks around. If for some reason it disbands i'm probably done.

That's why you go for the characters you like, don't chase an ever changing meta. We are also fortunate enough to be in a great guild, wherein there isn't an overwhelming amount of pressure to do daily tasks and we have the players able to beat the current raid bosses.

The amount of work Pinata did behind the scenes was crazy. Maintaining that spreadsheet in the early days was a full time job alone. Mino and the gang seem like they have a good handle on everything, so I am not too worried about the guild falling apart.

Thanks for all the time and effort you put into the guild, Piñata. I hope you and Univek don't feel like we're a bunch of ingrates.

My interest in the game has been waning lately, too. Last week I opted to not re-up the 100 crystals/day sub. I'm not ready to quit the whole game cold turkey, though. I'm sure there is another fiasco looming around the corner that might push the rest of us over the edge.

I'm in for at least a bit longer. The game is losing my interest quickly. Ships did nothing to renew my love for the game - quite the opposite. I'll stick around while the guild is strong... because without CE, I'd not really give a care anymore.

Yeah, I also hate the ships. It added to the time needed to play, and the battles take too long. Plus those zeta abilities are nuts. Once they become standard on my shard I am thinking I am done.

Thanks, guys. This was a long time coming for me. Every update put me further and further behind. I found myself opening the app just to look at things I already knew the answer to (when/how/what?). When I messaged UNivek the other day that I was thinking of quitting because, you know, he'd be the one to take over his response was basically "Good idea, BYE!" so he beat me to the punch :lol:

Mino and zap and David know what to do. The guild was basically on auto-pilot already. I had a feeling that some departures might cause a ripple effect, but I didn't expect Matt and Guni to leave too.

Keep me updated on the goings-on and the general mood. I saw that as soon as Mino took over, he added "[CE]" to his LINE handle. Hopefully that's just for him!

At first I liked the ships, but the time commitment they added I hate. I never do more than one ship battle a day now (for my daily) and every time I choose a decisively weaker team and put it on auto and then go brush my teeth. :lol:

I'm pretty close to a couple milestones with my first zeta and even GK. It's just become a huge time suck. Some days I love it, some days it feels like work. I'll give it a week, but seriously, Pinata has marked the path! :D

And I want to be crystal clear on this: it was never the guild that did that. The guild, to me, was just a social construct which I enjoyed that added raids which presented problems that needed solving. Once those were solved, it became mundane.

Zeta meant you had to focus on ships which are otherwise completely disposable so I found myself farming characters I didn't want just to get through those hoops. Then I see how OP Clones and Barriss (another character I didn't farm in the beginning like everyone else) and it just broke me. I felt like I was being forced to start over by going after her and GS.

13 months on this game and because I didn't play "the right way" or spend enough or focus solely on Arena to keep the crystals coming in means I didn't have a chance for anything but mediocrity.

The raid is going well. I think it launched 8 hours ago, and there is only 1/3 left of P3. Obviously the new EPs are helping. I just watched a video of Chirpaltine and realized I misunderstood the strategy. I quadrupled my last P3 damage. Total derp on my part.

We are well into P4. I'd imagine it will be over by the time I get to work in the morning. Glad we didn't skip a beat. I had a feeling people would start dropping like flies if heroic tank became an issue. I want to make sure I'll have a use for the hundreds of carbanti that I've been farming in a month. rotfl

Yeah. I appreciate what you done pin: bringing me to CE and giving me the opportunity to meet great people. Having been in SH4 and how crappy it was, it gave me a better appreciation of what we have in CE. If CE falls apart, that's when I'm done with this game. Otherwise, I'll keep up with my dailies and try to place Arena in the top 50.
