Just hit level 72 and did my first Tier IV AGI Challenge. The possible rewards include 5 Mk VI Hypo Syringe Salvage (purple hairdryers). Got 4 from my first run. Not only did my team auto-win it, but it didn't seem any more difficult than Tier III.
In Qui-Gon Jinn news, now that he's level 72, his leader skill has upgraded to +25 Jedi Speed so I'm excited to see if that makes things slightly easier in GW and Arena. Additionally, his last pre-G9 gear that I need is the "Mk 5 Arakyd Droid Caller" which is one of those that they arbitrarily added 50 new required components to that currently can't be farmed. Luckily, I had crafted one before the update so it's just waiting there in my inventory for when he reaches level 74. That's pretty exciting for me, but I'm sure I'll be labeled a cheater by someone and will have to defend that.

Oh, and it's 7,700 XP to level 73. Another 1,100 jump over the previous level. Yikes. I think I'm done spending 600/day on it, but will just settle back down to 200. The only milestones ahead are to get to 74 for new gear opportunities and the level 80 to start getting the Omega Ability Materials. Then again, it's not like these crystals are doing anything else...

My results from the 5 challenge runs were 4, 2, 2, 3, 4 so I ended up with 15 out of a possible 25. I figure that's going to be about average compared to 20 or 25. So, three times a week and you're looking at 45 or so. Throw on a few mission sims and you can get one character each week.
That was enough to push me over the edge on one person. I decided that Sidious needed the +25 AGI first because that stat "increases physical damage, physical critical rating and armor" and he attacks every round while Lumi does a heal every once in a while. No biggie if I chose wrong because she'll be ready again in 7 days.

Guilds preview:
Greetings Heroes,
One of the major features of the update later this month is the ability to form Guilds. This major feature will change the way the game is played by opening up new activities such as Raids and Daily Guild Activities.
Here is a preview on some of the new things coming:
Guilds
Maximum Guild size is 50 players
There will be 3 ranks in Guilds: Guild Leader, Officer and Member
Guilds can have a custom name and choose an icon that best represents them
Guild leaders can set membership requirements, including requiring approval to join and minimum level
Players can join a Guild in a variety of ways, such as viewing a list of recommended Guilds or receiving an invitation from an Ally
A Guild Leaderboard of all Guild members will be sortable by a variety of criteria ranging from power to contribution
There will be 2 new types of currency introduced with Guilds, Guild Bank Currency and Individual Guild Currency
Guild Activities
Shared Activities may be completed to earn Guild Currency that can be used to make purchases in Guild Shipments
There are multiple tiers of difficulty for Guild Activities
When an Activity is completed all members will be granted Guild Currency, with the highest contributors getting bonus currency
Activities will change daily

Maybe not, but we can always allow in other active players if we want. I have a couple friends who play but aren't a part of DVDTalk, so they could join, and we may find others. I bet we could have about 20 without trying too hard.

What I would suggest is that maybe we still stick together. I think we can put together a nice package to join a guild with. We have a good number of active, high level players with maxed toons. That has count for something.

Took way more resources than I wanted to but I was able to reach L72 today in time for the AGI challenge. I only have 3 players who need the hairdryers Sid, Dooku and Lumi so once I start farming them in addition to the challenges I should have those up and running within a month. About the same time I reach L74, lol. 7700 then 8800. Wow.

Ummm...
I do agree that we simply have all of us in one and make everyone at least an officer and let the randos join after setting some minimum requirements. With the stat tracking they promise, it should be easy to cut out the dead weight.
50, though?! That's a lot. There's going to be a wide variance between the full 50s with super-active whales and the rest of us.

I'm really torn what to do with GW shipments come Thursday. I will have Lumi, Phasma, 86 and Poggle maxed. I've been causally farming Biggs since pulling him in a bronze and he's already at 3*. I love DPS assist characters and he has good turn meter bonuses to make up for his shit speed. I know that technically RP is "better" but I'm tired of generic characters. I thought about Datcha but I've never been too impressed when I go up against him in GW or arena. I may bring Biggs to 5* for GW fodder and then horde tokens for a bit to see if anyone gets added down the road.

I unlocked everyone just so I can progress Vader. I'm at 60/65 right now and just a couple of days from 1,500 shipments for the last 5. He'll be 5* and still completely useless!
Soon, I'll have everyone at least 6* from GW. That last 100 is tough to commit to when I know I'm not going to be using them anyway.

If anything I need DS characters but Tusken Raider is the only one left. If he was less than 80 shards I may unlock him for the hell of it, but that's like a week of war tokens for a guy with no synergies and who kind of sucks anyway.

It took a ton of work, but the nice thing about having a 6* Dooku on your arena squad is that no one attacks you.
