I literally just hit 1 million credits a moment ago, so I'm open to where I should spend them. In my daily tasks, I spend my energy to work on building shards for those characters who are the farthest along while trying to save up credits. I usually try to level up one of the low characters to save credits toward promotions. The big challenge is Galactic War. I hit a wall on early nodes all the time and just can't get the credits out of it that I used to be able to, unfortunately. In the raids, Team 02 gets off one, maybe two hits before they're all crushed in one blow. But Team 01 lasts quite a while (at least, from my point of view). I'm open to suggestions. Now that there's a new LINE thread specific to teamwork-oriented goals, I can follow that a lot easier than the other one which is ridiculous. The message boards at that other website don't seem to really contain a lot but if I'm missing something there please let me know. I, for the life of me, cannot get 3 stars on the Cantina challenge which unlocks his shard for farming. I have 7* JC, Lumi, Sid, IG-86, Tarkin and a few others. I normally make my team consist of: Lumi (leader), Sid, JC, 5* Dooku and IG-86. Any advice on who to swap in for that team? On the 3rd round of that Cantina node, I get absolutely smoked. |

I did have 50 crystals leftover and I used that to refresh and then simmed to get some gear and bump Dooku up to Gear IV so I did take the advice. Kind of. Thank you for helping me out, I do appreciate it.

I won't spend money on the game but don't feel I need to. It's the only game I play on my phone so I'm glad it's lasting a long while. If you like it, I'd say just jump in each day! |

In case you hadn't heard yet, we are looking to move T7 up a couple of days next week to coincide with the Guild Leaderboard reset. We have no idea how that's going to shake out for us, but we are going to rely on LINE communication heavily to coordinate. Is there anything we can do to help you be more successful at the raids? Are you trying P1 only to find it ruins you? Are you making proper use of the door mechanism in P2 and P3 by only running one battle in each? My main team is Mace, QGJ, Lumi, Phasma as leader and Eeth. All are 7*, all are purple, all are 80. Team B is Sid, JC and Yoda. Same deal. I have Ahsoka at 7*, purple, and level 80. Greedo is level 73 iirc, purple, and 62/100 shards. I'm hoping to 7* him this weekend. After that, no one is really super close. Vader is 79, but he's 55/65 shards, at 4*, so not helpful. In Cantina rewards, I was trying to decide between leveling up Boba Fett (45/65, purple, level 54) or unlocking Poe (44/50 shards) or finishing JKG (31/85 shards, purple, level 73). Cantina itself I'm pretty much going for Dooku exclusively (44/65, blue, level 45) In the Arena store after I'm done Greedo, I wasn't sure if to unlock Tarkin, HK-47, or Han, though leveling IG-88 is an option too (21/30, purple, level 56). In GW, I'm working on Cad (18/85, blue, level 41) but after that I was trying to decide between Biggs (1/65, blue level 50), IG-86 (3/85, purple, level 55), RP (25/65, blue level 48) or Magma (20/85, blue, level 47). Light and Dark battles switch between gearing up and whoever I'm close to unlocking/leveling. |
Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
For your consideration - Droid teams seem to be the new meta from what I am seeing in GW and what I have read on SWGOH forums. Big Dps from an all droid team. I avoid droid teams in arena. Hk47 / JE in the lead with IG86, IG88 and Poe makes for a potent combo.
I'm also on the fence as far as who to start collecting Shards. In Cantina I have collected Qui Gon and have Ahsoka ready to 7* waiting on credits. I am thinking about going after Old Daka, Fives or Poe. In Arena I have Sid, Savage and Asajj. all @ 7*s and I am working on collecting Ackbar 31/65. With Leia coming soon I will work on her next. In GW I have Phasma, Lumi and 86 (he is awaiting credits for 7*s) and I am working on Teebo. Thinking Poggle next if I can time him with collecting other droids. |

Here are my characters:
http://i67.tinypic.com/3094t2u.png http://i64.tinypic.com/244cttx.png I'd love advice as no matter what I choose, I can't seem to get much over 100,000 in damage. It may be because I'm not 80 yet, but almost all the 7* characters here are equipped up to VIII or IX. Any suggestions? (For that matter, might be fun to hear suggestions for PVP too just to try something different...) |

With what you have now, I would use a team of: Phasma (L) Geo Solider QGJ 86 88 (ultimately you will want to replace 88 with Rey) You need to use the door better. When you enter the Pit, attack the door immediately so it drops. Use only basic attacks. When the Rancor gets stuck, use Speed Down from Phasma and unload on the Rancor. If speed down does not apply, reset and retry. When the door comes up, it's pretty much RNG at that point. Just fire away and use Victory March when it comes up. You should really try to get QGJ to 76 so you can put an Omega on his basic for TM reduction. Good luck. |

My plan is to spend my shards ONLY on Cantina battle refreshes and Ahsoka battle refreshes...and hopefully get them over the next couple days. I'm sure I can get 10 shards from the Cantina battles. But the Ahsoka battles are completely random...so it's up to the game... |
Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
Hey guys, can I get some advice? I'm looking for priorities for the next few weeks. I need gear... Bad. I need Rey... Bad. I've not bought gear with crystals, but I'm going to have to. I've been spreading my energy too thin. So, I'm hoping you can help advise me on toons to focus on for raids (P2/3 damage is only 100k-150k) and PVP (I'd like to be able to regularly finish top 50 but I usually wind up 80 - 150). Although GW became a real chore for a while, I can reliably complete it each day again, so I'm not worried about it. My current notable roster (sorted by power) is:
QGJ: 80/7/9(3/6) - Omega Daka: 78/7/9(0/6) - Omega Lumi: 80/7/8(5/6) GS: 79/7/8(4/6) - Omega Barriss: 77/7/8(3/6) Eeth: 72/7/8(4/6) Phasma: 80/7/8(4/6) - Omega JC: 75/7/8(5/6) PtL: 65/7/8(2/6) Teebo: 65/7/8(3/6) Sid: 73/7/8(0/6) Dooku: 75/7/8(0/6) IG86: 71/7/8(3/6) Yoda: 64/7/8(3/6) Fives: 63/6(51/100)/8(2/6) Chirpa: 63/7/8(1/6) EE: 62/6(25/100)/8(0/6) Rey: 70/5(40/85)/8(4/6) IG88: 61/7/7(5/6) RG: 70/5(19/85)/7(4/6) AA: 65/5(152/85)/7(3/6) RP: 50/6(100/100)/6(0/6) STH: 51/4(30/65)/6 I've been working on: Guild = Rey and EE, Cantina = RG and Fives, PVP = AA, GW = just finished RP and have just been saving credits. If a furnace shows up in the shipments, I'm going to buy it for Rey and get her started on G9. Rey's stars, gear, and levels are top priority. What else should I focus on to help PVP (getting top 50 will help me get crystals to buy gear) and raid damage? I appreciate the help! |

Phasma, QGJ, GS, Daka, Dooku. |
Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
I would use Dooku as lead (I find evasion to be better than the TM boost Phamsa offers), with QGJ (for his anti-taunt), Daka (for her stuns), GS (for DPS). The fifth could be another DPS character (like Rey), or a tank (in lieu of RG, you may want to use ST Han).

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
Thanks, Chase. Which toons would you say I should focus on increasing gear levels? Is there a definite toon at G9 or G10 that would be a more immediate (and hopefully easier) benefit for PVP and Raid?
I'm a few days from getting AA to 7*, and then I'll work on Leia (been thinking that since I was 12 years old). Do you recommend continuing farming RG in cantina? I've been refreshing cantina too, but if it would be better to save the crystals for buying gear, I'll do that. Thanks! |

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
I've been getting advice to focus strongly on QGJ and RG and haven't been disappointed. Right now I'm working on getting my RG to 7* and G9...very close. QGJ is in much better shape and I'm putting omegas on him now. Makes a difference!
And, of course, Rey. :P |

You could also just get a cheap throwaway off ebay until you're ready to replace it so at least you can play and make emergency phone calls. I'll let you decide which is more crucial. ;)

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
As advised, I got QGJ up to G10, GS to G9, and Dooku is 1 piece from G9. I leveled the rest of the team (Dooku, QGJ, Daka, GS, Phasma) to 80 too. I had to buy (with saved crystals) a couple of gear items, and I had better luck on the gear nodes. I finished PVP at 55 tonight (lost my final match vs #47). So I've definitly seen improvement already.
I believe I've read David-Olivier say a few times that RG is viable in PVP at 5*. What gear should RG be for 5* to work? I have terrible luck farming RG in cantina and nodes. One last thing, I almost have Fives to 7* and could quickly be G9. Would he be a good replacement for somebody on my team (pvp or raid)? Wait, one last thing for real, Rey is almost 6*. Is she viable before 7* and at certain gear (either pvp or raid)? Thanks again for all the help! |
Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
Gear will always be more important than stars. Find your team, regardless of current stars, and level and gear them up. The stars will follow.
For PVP, Phasma and Daka should be the first out and Rey and RG the first in. Fives is okay because he has counter-attack and high health and high tenacity (in my experience versus him) but he's slow. |
Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
Imprint, I just got Rey to 6* and found her completely viable in PvP at 5*, G9.
I have my RG at 5*, G8, but he's not powerful enough yet. He's not horrible, but nothing to write home about. D-O assures me that once RG hits G9, he'll be waaay better, so I'm moving there now. Hard to get the gear, so I'm about 3-5 days away still. I've found Phasma great in just about any mode, even at 7*, G8. |
Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
You also don't want to bring characters too early into PvP, as that will make you a easier target. People will see you have a 5* character and attack more often than they would if you had a 6 or 7*.

I finally started playing this game due to the buzz around here. Level 30, but don't really know what I'm doing other than fighting battles, and upgrading and equipping characters. I have tons of energy, currency, and purple jewels that I've started to spend.
I sent out a few ally requests (code is 852-455-234). |

You don't have to, but for best results, you'll at least have to spend all your energy daily (and you'll have so many SIMs, that'll literally take about 2 minutes to do). What becomes time consuming at higher levels is Galactic Wars, but you can get in a routine with good characters to knock it out in about 20-25 minutes on auto and it's not only fun, but rewarding. And at level 30 you don't have access to much of it yet, but there are multiple activities you can do each day that become entirely addicting as you create your favorite teams. Feel free to ask any questions here. |

Dude do you still have your old phone if not you might be hosed? |
Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
Reached level 79 yesterday. I'm having little to no issues completing Galactic War each day so now my problem is the next character I'll focus on leveling up with those credits.
And as ridiculous as it is, i cannot get 3 stars on Cantina level 6-G. I'm beyond frustrated. |

I think my main problem right now is lack of characters (five light, three dark). Is the best way to get more through data packs and shipments? Once in a great while you'll get a character from a daily pack, or shards, but 45% of the characters you get will be from the various stores in the game. You probably can only see 1-2 right now (Cantina and Squad Arena), but eventually you'll see another 3 or so, and they'll keep you busy grabbing character shards. The other 45% of the characters you get will be from doing hard battles...one shard at a time. For right now, you really just need to keep plugging away at what you know to do. The game is great at opening up new areas when you're about ready for them. Don't even be that concerned about which characters are the "right ones." For instance, you'll probably continue to use Clone Wars Chewbacca for a while...but you'll likely abandon him by level 60 or so in favor of other characters. I do highly recommend doing nothing in the Cantina except getting GS shards (Battle 1-A). Just do it over and over again until he's 7*. I camped there until he was done and then started doing more cantina battles. You'll use him way into the end game. Do one Cantina refresh every day (100 crystals). In the Squad Arena (PvP), ST Han and Leia are both great choices. Again, I'd just keep farming them until they were maxed, then move on. Other than that, keep doing the Light and Dark side battles. (Refresh twice each day (50 crystals each)). Right now you can just try to get through the levels, but eventually you'll want each one three stars because you'll go back to them countless times to get specific character shards so you can get a character, or to get equipment parts to make them stronger. By the way, equipment (those green pluses) make a HUGE difference--more than anything! Be sure to get through your Dailies every day. That maxes your growth. It's a bit frustrating early on because you want to get a bunch of characters, but if you really focus on building a strong team, they'll open the game for you. Also, don't hesitate to use ALL your energy every single day. And if you fight a battle a second time, use a SIM if you have it. I was so concerned early on with burning through my credits and SIMs that I hoarded them. No need to do that. They all refill the following day, and by using them you grow faster. |
Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
Thanks! A lot of that actually made sense, especially about my using Chewbacca.
I do like the game so I'll keep plugging at it. |

I was so concerned early on with burning through my credits and SIMs that I hoarded them. No need to do that. They all refill the following day, and by using them you grow faster. |
