Really trying like hell now to get to L62 before Sunday so I can open up the higher level challenges. I'm at 61.5 now so I probably should be OK. Need more purple gear for my boys!!

Poggle is great for granting buffs, but is that a good thing going forward with Yoda out there?

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

Basically if you face Yoda, you will lose, unless you have Yoda, and then you will lose if they have a higher QGJ than you. Welcome to the new meta.

40/80 on Mace. Not bad, I started the week at 6/80. Outside chance of unlocking before the event ends. I won't refresh for 400 crystals though, no matter what.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

new problem - my team is getting too powerful on my shard and no one can take me below rank 40 in arena. That is sort of my soft cap for GW purposes but I have to fight three times to get dailies. I can';t even lose on auto!

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

Have you thought about putting scrubs in the Arena to tank your ranking?

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

LOL, that solution is so damn simple it never even occurred to me. You are MY Yoda in this game, Pinata.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

Speaking of Yoda, his event is super simple. It's nothing more than a gateway to getting his shards and a bunch of crystals. Just like that, I have 100 Yoda shards just sitting idle.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

Need some help. I was ignorantly farming Luke, thinking he would be a Jedi, but he's not. So I don't have 5 Jedis for the event.

I'm currently Player Level 43. Here's where I'm at:

Light Side:

Lumi 3* (15/30 to 4*), Lvl 42, Gear Lvl IV
Jedi Consular 2* (21/25 to 3*), Lvl 42, Gear IV
Clone Wars Chewie 3* (12/30 to 4*), Lvl 35, Gear III
Eeth Koth 3* (0/30), Lvl 42, Gear II
Luke Skywalker 3* (0/30), Lvl 42, Gear II
Jawa 3* (0/30), Lvl 34, Gear III
Qui-Gon Jin 2* (0/25), Lvl 42, Gear II
Clone Sergeant - Phase 1, 1* (8/15 to 2*), Lvl 34, Gear III
Ewok Scout 1* (9/15 to 2*), Lvl 32, Gear II

Dark Side:

Talia 3* (4/30 to 4*), Lvl 42, Gear III
Royal Guard 1* (6/15 to 2*), Lvl 43, Gear IV
IG-86 1* (0/15), Lvl 34, Gear III
Snowtrooper 1* (0/15), Lvl 32, Gear III
Geonosian Soldier 1* (3/15 to 2*), Lvl 41, Gear III

Based on my player level, I'm currently locked to the first two levels of the Cantina. I just opened up Dark Side Level 4 Hard, and do have up through Light Side 4 Hard opened up.

In Cantina, should I keep building QGJ? Or focus on Ashako to get my 5th Jedi? Or turn to Sidious (10/80) or Old Daka (0/80)?

In GW, should I use the shipments to quickly build up Lumi? Or go after Phasma? Or something else?

Would love some suggestions on where to focus and how best to proceed.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

It really comes down to a binary choice: is Yoda your most immediate goal? If so, go for Lumi (GW), Koth (Arena), QGJ (Cantina). You can farm JC and Ahsoka from hard missions. Bonus if you can get to Cantina 3-A, you can farm JC there on your way to QGJ.

If you don't care about Yoda, then you should follow the conventional wisdom and stick with Lumi (GW), Sid (Arena), QGJ (Cantina). You can then focus on farming gear and 3-starring nodes to keep those people growing.

If you aren't spending crystals each day you may consider doing one of the following, depending on your daily income from Arena, GW, and Daily Activities:

50 - One regular refresh for farming and 3-starring.
100 - Two regular refreshes...
100 - One Cantina refresh
150 - One regular and one Cantina refresh
200 - Two regular and one Cantina refresh
300 - Two Cantina refreshes

No matter what you choose, you will be increasing your player level more quickly which, in turn, brings new challenge tiers and bonus energy (at least until you hit 70).

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

What about continuing Lumi, Sid, GS to 7*? Am I just better off focusing on Jedi's instead?

pinata242 02-11-16 01:47 PM

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

There will never* be anything wrong with those power players. Jedis are only necessary if you want Yoda.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

Sure, but is it worth it if the gain is only ~10% over 6*? 100 shards is no joke!

Thanks. I'd like to at least start on Yoda if possible.

So I'll focus on Lumi, Koth and QGJ. I'm having my ass handed to me on the first hard battle of level 4 on the dark side, so not sure when I'm gonna get to the 3rd node to start farming Ahsoka.

Also, when people say "GS," are they referring to the Geneosian Soldier, or someone else?

pinata242 02-11-16 02:21 PM

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

Yes, GS=Geneosian Soldier who, at high levels, is an absolute monster. He has potential for 6k+ power.

Cool. I'll start farming his shards in cantina battles to help beef up my dark side. Thanks for all the input!

If you're going to look at GS, then consider Poggle as a leader and round out with droids, like the IG-86 you're currently getting for free this month just by logging in every day.

I agree with you completely on this. To me, getting main team to all 5*, then 6*, is more important that 7*.

But GEAR is so much more important than stars. I've seen max geared characters at 5* destroy lesser gear 7* characters.

I completely agree. If you have those four at 6*, then you will probably be okay for a long time.

With the free 135 ENG each day now, it's a no-brainer to go for the second catina refresh. Those tokens are the most valuable thing right now, if only for QGJ shards.

Yeah, it's what I do, but not everyone can afford 300 crystals/day. Hell, I couldn't if I wasn't still getting 100/day from the $11 I spent 3 weeks ago. In fact, tomorrow's my last day of that :(

Do you not trust yourself with $20 every other weekend? ;)
