Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
You do need Old Daka, no doubt.
I'm always fine with doing a one-off to unlock someone new, like Fives. But you might be better off just farming him from LS4-F and DS2-D rather than pricey Cantina tokens. Plus each of those drop gear you will need anyway. |

Greetings Heroes,
Small update today. Daily Crystal Booster Packs are now available for players who have spent at least $4.99 in the store. The text on Lobot's ability Parallel Processing has been updated to more closely reflect how the ability works. Also was thinking about rolling the dice on a pack again but I'm sure I'll be disappointed. |

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
The <s>$4.99</s>$10.99 crystal pack is 2200 crystals over 21 days. Note that you have to log in every day and collect the 100 crystal payout or you lose it.

How many crystals are in these daily packs? Trying to decide if I should spend the $.
Also was thinking about rolling the dice on a pack again but I'm sure I'll be disappointed. Don't buy chrome. The snow got the best of me yesterday and I bought an 8 way. The BEST I got was Grand Moff Tarkin, who is not that great. It's a sucker's pursuit. |

You do have to have spent at least $4.99 in the store previously to see this offer. |

What about then using Catina tokens on Daka but then switching farming to unlock Fives?
If they add more clones in the future to make him a sensible leader, maybe I could see having Fives on a C team. |

Thanks Groucho!

The pack is $10.99 and I'm still unsure if it's 2200 or just 2100 total. You do get 100 immediately, but is that considered day #1?

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
piņata is correct, you have to spend $4.99 on something else in the store, and after that the $10.99 daily subscription back will show up.
|
Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
I don't know what you see because some offers are for new players only.
For the current $10.99 subscription pack, you need to have already paid $4.99+ on something in the store. You can't buy what you can't see and that's how you make it visible. If there's another pack I'm not seeing, then jump on it. |

Stage 7 of the campaign tracks take 10 energy per attempt which means Hard will be 20. Sigh... Poe shards :-(

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
I'm having fun, though there's a lot of grinding. It almost feels like the game is the grind and that doesn't hold my interest as much as, say, The Simpsons: Tapped Out that's full of grinding but also good story. I don't see myself spending money until I can get out of what feels like grind mode (and if it takes spending money to have to stop grinding, that feels off to me).
Coming up at 2,200 crystals. Thoughts on going for the big 8-card pack? |

All I know for sure is that Daka is a necessity. I have 22/50 on Fives myself and I don't have a need for him. I get his shards from farming his nodes for gear someone needs at that moment.
If they add more clones in the future to make him a sensible leader, maybe I could see having Fives on a C team. |

It just now dawned on me I should be farming 2:1 (gear/shards) on hard level. I've been doing it on easy. I feel like I keep missing some obvious stuff in this game but I'm still learning...
Speaking of JC shards, I'm about to take him to 6*. I don't see taking him out of my lineup any time soon, but I'm also not sure if I want to invest in the time to farm another 100 shards for him. The only plus side is the sheer number of options I have each day to do that. Then again, he's so highly geared that he's at 4,200 power at only 5*! |

Bronzium Letdown - when you see Barriss Offee come up and then realize it's only 1 shard. FML.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
For any lower level (sub 50s) players still having problems with GW, it is invaluable to have a suicide squad to cause teams to waste their specials. It doesn't even have to be five players. If Dooku or Sid's first move is killing me, I throw out some nimrods to burn them. Then the A team comes back in and mops up.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)
That's definitely good advice. Also, retreating is an invaluable tactic. I almost couldn't complete my run today so I had to do a lot of trial & error to get through the last 3-4 missions.
Back to JC. Am I the only one that never seems to get the benefit of his "25% chance of cooldown reduction" on his basic attack? I haven't done a full scientific study on this, but I cannot think of a single instance where I was shocked that my healing or attack-as-defense skill were already ready again. |
