Damn, I guess that's a GIF of last year's wonky physics.

Re: Wwe 2k16

Any reviews on this game? Besides the impressive roster, nothing in the game says to me "must buy".

Re: Wwe 2k16

Wrestlininc.com gave the game 8/10, although the review seems to be very negative about the gameplay.

Between the micro transactions and the 2k game engine, it seems once again I will be skipping this game, or wait until is on sale on Black Friday or something. To me, wrestling games don't have to be realistic, just fun and easy to pick on, as the N64 games were back in the day. It seems that 2k has been too focused on making this game a simulation of what we see on WWE TV instead of making it a fun game to play. And seriously, WWE has been boring as ever for the past several years.

Re: Wwe 2k16

Got it for my birthday, so yay and played some last night.

Gameplay feels like an improvement over last year. Not much, but I didn't immediately hate it like I did 15.

They reused some of 15's ugly character models like Paige and Nikki. Sting 91 and 99 was in it again, but also had current Sting which looked good. Except for his entrance. Trench coats are still stuck to legs like back in the PS1 days.

Unfortuantely the game is still based on reversals. Every move the other wrestler does has to be countered. No who ever 'pushed the button first' So you can get caught in a long string of moves if you dont counter. Even on the ground. No jamming on the buttons to quickly get up.

Kicking out of pins has changed again. Its a circle with a small area that you have to stop a spinning thing in. The weaker you are, the smaller the space. You lose the first count immediately just looking where to stop. I miss the days of jamming on X to kick out.

So thats my early thoughts. Only played quick matches, didnt try any other modes. Halo needed attention too

Played about 6 hours last night, bouncing from Austin mode to character creator to career mode. Enjoyable. Does it have problems? Yep. But I had fun and I wish I was playing more of it right now.

Career is much improved, in both good ways and good/bad ways.

Does anyone know anything about the accelerator? I paid $1.99 and downloaded it last night but nothing is unlocked. I check it a few minutes ago and still nothing. Is there something special you have to do? This is for Xbox One.

Did you quit out of the game entirely and then restart? Sometimes it takes that for it to kick in.

Anyone playing on PS4? I want your CAWs invading my career.

Re: Wwe 2k16

I was tempted to pick this up while I was out today but decided I didn't want to drop $60 on it. The problem with these games is that you know if you wait a while that they'll go down fairly soon. I wouldn't be surprised if it hits $40 during the holidays. I might even just wait until the game is bundled with all the DLC for a decent price which I bet will happen around WrestleMania time like WWE 2K15 earlier this year.

When you're in the unlockables, at the bottom of the screen it will tell you a button to push to unlock everything.

Thank you so much for your help! I never so that before at the bottom of the screen. Thanks again.

Re: Wwe 2k16

I picked it up. The reversals seem to be way easier than last year, that is for sure. I've created a character and set it up for invades, so if you are on X1 and want me to invade all over you, send me a friend request.

I haven't put aside time to really create a custom yet.

Playing through the Austin showcase... damn I miss JR.

Re: Wwe 2k16

Picked this up on Black Friday and I have to say so far it seems like somewhat of an improvement over WWE 2K15. I still don't like some aspects of it and especially still don't love the grapple, pin, and submission systems but I'm getting a bit more used to them. I also like that they added more match types back to the game even though there are still some good ones missing. Some of the character models still look crappy (seriously how hard is it to make DDP look decent?) but the roster in general is much improved. Also have been enjoying the 2K Showcase mode and recreating classic Austin matches. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase this year.

Testers? Are you sure it was tested?

Even if it was, testers can't stop a game from being shipped.

Bratty kid throws a tantrum after he discovers his Mom bought him WWE 2K15 instead of 2K16 for Christmas. The Mom should just return the gift and give him nothing instead.
