That might make online play a lot better.
I sure hope so! A few years back, I played a few online matches, and I felt like a jobber in the last few minutes of a Cena match.

Re: Wwe 2k16

The graphics don't seem impressive to me in either of those two videos. They almost feel more like early last gen graphics (particularly the Austin/Roberts video). Not sure if that's intended because they did mention how the matches from the Stone Cold Showcase mode are supposed to have a look like watching a VHS tape but to me that's not how it looked. Plus the Lesnar/Rollins video wasn't a lot better. Granted the developers may have some final tweaks to make before the game is out.

I hate the kickout system in these games.

Re: Wwe 2k16

Some good Legends revealed so far. That's really what I'm mainly interested in with these games now days as the current product doesn't interest me much. Hopefully the graphics look better before the final game releases. I already thought last year that DDP looked like a bad CAW.

Re: Wwe 2k16

I haven't bought a wrestling game in over ten years, but I did play a lot of the Smackdown series and have only played WWE13. I miss the arcade, fast paced style of the Smackdown series, the WWE2K game feels...waaaay too clunky.

Re: Wwe 2k16

IGN's Weekly WWE 2K16 Roster Reveal.

Well folks...this is it. It's been a fun ride, but this is the final week of Roster 3:16. All good things and all that. It's been a real blast bringing this to you every week, waking up early on Monday morning to share the roster-flavored excitement with alI of you. As I wow you one last time with reams of new wrestlers and related media, don't forget that you can use the previous pages on this article to re-live the good times we've had together forever, or at least until the cats officially take over and take away our internet access for good.

So here goes. This final entrance vid is a doozy of sorts. I love when entrances involve the Superstars addressing the audience, and I love it even more when they keep it for the in-game entrance as well. Check out Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore working the mic while making their way to the ring:

Nevell looks spot on, while Austin and Seth are meh. They really have a problem with facial hair.

Re: Wwe 2k16

Wow, Stunning Steve Austin and ECW Steve Austin made the game.

Mikey Whipwreck...

The roster is really good. Other than missing out on Hogan, the only glaring omission is Owen Hart, who plays a large role in Austin's story. But that's beyond their control.

They have an Owen Hart DVD coming out but yet can't get his character on a game?

There's a difference between using his old footage and putting him in a game. WWE owns the old matches and can use them. But using his likeness in a game would require consent from his estate which just isn't gonna happen.

That being said, they could show a video of SummerSlam '97 in the game and be OK.

Re: Wwe 2k16

I'm overall pretty happy with the roster though there are a few names missing I'd like to see such Rob Van Dam, Scott Hall, Road Dogg Jesse James (seriously they put Billy Gunn in but not James to complete the New Age Outlaws?), Hulk Hogan (though we know why he's not in this), etc. Owen would be great to see too but yeah it'll probably never happen as long as Martha has her say in the matter.

Not me. I want "realism" and simulation. Not arcade.

I dunno, I believe there was a LOT of issue over WWE ever showing Owen Hart matches and selling a DVD of his. There's got to be some reason it took this long to finally get him his own DVD.

Re: Wwe 2k16

Am I the only one who thinks the character models look like crap this year? The likenesses to the wrestlers are there for the most part but they don't look like current gen graphics to me. I swear the stuff from PS3/360 looked better. Even WWE 2K14 seemed to be better.

There was a settlement made with Owen's wife over certain issues that paved the way for the DVD. But it doesn't completely clear the roadblock as she still stands in the way, and from what I've read, put restrictions on the DVD that Bret Hart has come out and blasted.

But like I said before, she can't do much about the old matches, as WWE has full control. At the end of the day, WWE isn't restricted so much as they don't want to get into another fight with Owen's wife.

Re: Wwe 2k16

What hasn't Bret blasted lately lol. Plus it's 2K. Before Warrior and Vince made amends, it was 2K that got him in the game, not WWE. 2K would just need to reach out to Owen's widow and throw in money towards their foundation.

Re: Wwe 2k16

I really wish that 2K would do a Legends game only not like how THQ did it but using the same engine as the main game series pretty much. I hated the more arcade style of WWE Legends. It seems like there'd be a market for a Legends type game if they were to use classic WWF/WWE, WCW, and ECW stars along with old school arenas and stuff. That's pretty much the reason I buy the new games and I could see a game like that going over well with former fans and casuals.

Re: Wwe 2k16

Grrrr. Thats right. They hype they got Mikey Whipwreck in the game but not 4 horsewomen. Despite the fact Sasha was scanned. This one is looking more and more like a skip. Still burned from last years.

Apparently there had been some unhappiness among the WWE gamer community over the lack of Divas Revolution presence in the game. 2K Sports posted this statement in response:

"With our final roster reveal this past Monday, it was awesome seeing the excitement for The New Day, Enzo and Cass, Mikey Whipwreck, and more. But it was clear that some in the community are frustrated by the lack of the newer Divas added to the main WWE roster recently.

We pushed as hard as we could to include Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Bayley in WWE 2K16, but it simply did not work out for various reasons. While we are not divulging full details on WWE 2K16's post-launch plans just yet, we can confirm that the Four Horsewomen will not be available as DLC.

We are proud to have and built the largest WWE roster to date featuring the most Divas ever. The WWE 2K16 disc includes all of the Divas on the main roster at the time we locked it in (13 playable in total).

We all agree the Divas Revolution is great for business and look forward to celebrating the Divas even more in future WWE 2K titles."

Re: Wwe 2k16

I haven't played a wrestling game in a very long time. Been thinking about picking this up, to play with my kids. How does that roster work? Can you play as anyone from the get go, or is it unlock type idea?
