Just a word of caution, this thing is saved locally to your device, it does not save your progress to the cloud.

So you cant A) play cross devices and B) if for any reason your app crashes and makes the game unplayable, IF you delete the app, you lose all your progress, including any legendary cards you picked up along the way.

I'm not far along at all. Is it better to have double/triple rooms? Start over?

Yeah its better, more production/more efficient. The tutorial kind of sucks, the way they want you to build doesn't key to the fact of wanting to have the right set up for long-term success

Each floor level you can have 2 x 3 rooms, 1 x 2 room, and 2 elevators all the way down.

So you can do 3X Room Elevator 2X room Elevator 3X room
or 3X room Elevator 3X Room Elevator 2X room.

Thanks. How many workers can you put in a room? 2 per?

Yup 2 per room, Total production is based on upgrades (like each room can create X amount of resource).

But the timing of the resources depends on your worker's abilities (higher STR in power rooms, means faster turnaround time in resources etc (Higher AGI in Food/Higher PER in Water)

Also I find the cost of upgrading to the value of production increase, does not warrant getting the next level of room upgrades (Especially for Food/Water (Garden/Hydro)_) That is because the rise of production is pretty small at max upgrade (Maybe 8 resources?) but the cost is beyond insane (Like 30k cap).

At least with the nuclear power, not only does it increase production amount, but also storage amount.

And the final room build of Nuka cola increases BOTH food and Water, making the Garden/Hydro upgrades not worthwhile in my opinion.

Re: Fallout Shelter - iOS (other platforms... eventually/never?) - Out NOW

Heh, I had a radroach infestation that shredded my population down to one person. I had enough caps to bring a person of the opposite sex back to life, and am slowly working to get the shelter back up and running. I can't spend a lot of time in the app for fear of another radroach or raider attack, so I basically just log in once a day long enough to rush something to get some caps and see if I can make another baby.

I'm up to 75 people myself. I think i've wasted so many caps reorganizing things to a layout that makes it easier for me to manage.

Whoa totally thought you could only combine the sleeping quarters and not the other rooms into one big room

I was wondering why you had all singles... I thought you were going after more of a challenge or something. It's gotta be hard micromanaging all single rooms.

My vault is full (200 people) and pretty happy (been hovering between 98-99 percent, can't get that last little bit). I hoped something would happen when it got full, but nothing. I guess I could just go on forever until everyone has their Specials maxxed out, but I think I'll just get electrical stabilized again (it was good for a bit but been kind of lagging for a while) and then call it done.

After breaking 100 people, is there much else of interest to do? Other then maybe get lunch boxes and hope for rare dwellers?

I'm not sure. I've already lost interest. Once I got my radroach apocalypse under control, I couldn't find anything to do beyond tapping on resources every so often.

Not much. Send guys further out and hope they find different weapons and outfits is about it. I ended up killing off a bunch of guys so i'm around 150 now and it works much better.

August 13th for Android

They're also adding a few new things, like a Mr. Handy to help you as well as Deathclaw or Molerat invasions.

This game made $5.1 million in its first 2 weeks of release on iOS, and it's free to play. The Fallout hype is real.

I was playing the Android version on my phone while my 5 year old played it on my tablet. Yeah....we are both ready for Fallout 4.

Re: Fallout Shelter - iOS (other platforms... eventually/never?) - Out NOW

This f'in sucks!

I tried to rush a room - all 4 workers were armed ... Rush fails and rad roaches attack. Not a single worker fights, and soon the roaches have killed the 4 before moving onto another room. They eventually wipe out all my people.

So ... why did the armed workers not fight? I'm not going to start all over again if this is the norm.

Re: Fallout Shelter - iOS (other platforms... eventually/never?) - Out NOW

I had a similar situation yesterday where it seemed a ton of guys died across multiple rooms, and had no idea why. All my guys are armed fairly well, so I assume something similar might have happened. Luckily I have tons of caps so it wasn't a huge deal.

I ended up sending a ton of guys out to die so I can reorganize my vault and had too many people to move my barracks around. That was fun

I had enough caps to revive a few, but the roaches nailed them and all I could do was send a revived worker outside so I could destroy a few rooms for caps ... I ended up just deleting the vault and I might start again at another time

Re: Fallout Shelter - iOS (other platforms... eventually/never?) - Out NOW

Another major annoyance... since Deathclaws own all my guys, I have a lot more people dying now. When I revive them, they don't automatically go back to the same room they were in. They start wandering, so at one point I probably had 20 or so folks wandering with a few empty rooms. Ugh.

Re: Fallout Shelter - iOS (other platforms... eventually/never?) - Out NOW

I think I'm deleting this .... had a nice run going - ample power/water/food ... at least one armed person in each room ... wake up this morning - rad roaches running amok and everyone down. Such crap. I don't see how this can be avoided - especially if you aren't checking the game every freakin' minute.
